I love stopping in at Machete's to grab a quick bite. Their bread has a freshly baked lightness, which is perfectly complemented with hearty sliced meats and crisp veggies. The "Meaner" turkey & ham is my jam 🎸(but no jam on it).
Food is FRESH and tasty
The staff is friendly and quick to complete your order. Also, music playing over speakers is always choice. I just wish they'd turn it up a bit!
These are some of the biggest and best sandwiches on this island. In fact, I challenge anybody to find a better one.
Just purchased.. (@ 8 Sept @ 1500)a machete and turkey avocado and bacon. And it was smackin!! . Guy working there at this time was very kind and patient.

I noticed big bags in the sandwich shop and baking tins and asked if they made their bread, yes they do. The bread already looks like it’s going to be delicious. Thick cuts of soft white bread. AND IT WAS!! Soft and delicious and fresh.
The guy who made the sandwich said I could purchase a loaf, I really am considering it.

Ordered 10 sandwiches for our Whanau after being at the beach. Sandwiches were ready when we arrived. Lasted the trip back to our Resort and were fresh, tasty and reka (yum). Big Boys were stumped with The Machete!! Everyone loved the sandwiches they order
and would happily order next time were back in Hawaii. Nga mihi
10/10 sandwich shop. If you’re looking for an “aesthetic” shop, this ain’t it. If you’re looking for a legitimate sando shop that checks all the boxes (delicious bread, good proportions, generous meat servings, friendly service), this is definitely the place
After months of walking by this place I went in for the first time today. I got the “meanest”sandwich and it took me a while to eat this thing. It was so good. Love me a great sandwich. So happy that this right by my residence. I got the beef pastrami sandwich.
The sandwiches are Amazing! The bread they use is magic, like "hogwarts wizard is kept prisoner in the back to make their bread" magic! The Italian and roast beef are my favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of them.
Meannnnnn!!! Super yummy sandwich. I ordered Italian on white and it did not disappoint. Soft bread and fresh meat with veggies. Delicious!!!
This sandwich was AWESOME (machete sandwich from menu) yes it was big but man was it nice, make their own bread an all. Service was great nice chat when waiting. Will give going back!!
I ordered the machete, my son got the italian, and my daughter ordered the turkey bacon avocado, and my wife and other daughter had the turkey. The bread was baked in house. Amazing sandwiches all around!

I picked it up from the tiny shop outside Waikiki and the smell of bread was delicious. I got my sandwich and ate it at the beach. I got The Machete—turkey, pastrami, ham, salami and cheddar cheese on crack wheat bread. The bread is THICK and fresh. The fillings were also thick. I’m a guy that likes to eat a lot, and for $13.95 this was a deal. I’m so impressed that I will be back and tell all my friends about it. Mahalo.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! Surprised why there are not more reviews. I am a total foodie and this is the best sandwich place so far! The bread is amazing, Every Sandwich I've tried is delicious! Their service is great. And the best part, they deliver! So anytime you're craving one of those sandwiches (and you will crave them) place an order and it'll show up at your doorstep in 20 minutes! Do you guys need a marketing person? Cuz I will definitely tell the whole island and every tourist about it!
