This restaurant is really like a “whole in a wall” kind a place cause you can’t see from outside! Food was tasty, great service, nice atmosphere and music and very clean. I’m often asked a good Japanese restaurant since I’m from Japan, I recommend this place!

$58 sushi menu was exceptional quality. Very good yakitori too. Great service and nice laid-back, Izakaya atmosphere.
The perfect spot for authentic Japanese food. It is a smaller restaurant, but we got lucky getting a table before the crowd. The service was a little slow they seemed to only have one cook and server, but the food was worth the wait! We ordered two skinny rolls as appetizers (unagi & green onion and toro). For lunch we got two bentos the miso butterfish bento & the kitsune udon and shrimp tempura combo bowl. I will be coming back the next time I’m craving Japanese food!
One of my favorite authentic Japanese restaurants in town with so much variety of dishes ranging from comfort foods to high quality sushi. A hole in the wall izakaya style restaurant with a simple yet stylish interior and vibrant energy filled with locals who frequent the place. Service is quick and servers take care of guests with kindness and diligent care.
They just updated their menu and have a sushi and sashimi menu which is regularly updated with seasonal items
Now located in Kaimuki, this is a spot loved by locals who know good Japanese food and drink. I always come back to this place because I enjoy their energetic service and fresh food. It’s the perfect place to come with friends or family and enjoy a family style meal while getting to try a bunch of different things.

Bathroom could use an upgrade.
For the first time in a long time, I was able to taste Japanese Kappo sushi style.The box-style sushi topping box is also nostalgic.
Absolutely fantastic traditional Japanese food, awesome service and great atmosphere.
Food was fresh, deliciously tasty, cooked to perfection. 4-4:30pm it’s happy hour and the items (yakitori, sashimi, sushi, oden) are very diverse, something for everyone and prices are great. Even the Japanese beer and Japanese plum wine (a must try) were in happy hour and that made everything so much more enjoyable. Total hiden gem, recommended 💯
Great food, friendly service, reasonable prices. The interior is very cool, i love the custom wood. too bad they are so near my house and moving locations. i will definitely drive to the new place. They also make any custom order! One of my go to sushi spots
Great service and reasonable prices for top notch and authentic Japanese food.
I’ve been lucky enough to stumble in twice without a reservation, but will do so in the future. Great selection of takoyaki and fish selection. Will be back!
