We loved our visit to this very special restaurant. Le'ahi Concept Kitchen opened in the space formerly occupied by Nobu, and it looks like they did not need to make many physical changes to the space when they took it over. The place is operated by the students at Kapiolani Culinary Arts Program and the (student) staff members work extra hard to make sure your visit is a good one. Their smiles alone will bring you joy during your meal. The food is very good, but not outstanding, and the service is sometimes comically hesitant, but you will be glad you came here. Your meal will be prepared and served with a lot of care and you will also be helping out the next generation of culinary stars.
Amazing food! Great ambience with Piano player. Went for a romantic dinner and food was exceptional. The restaurant is run by college students learning about the hospitality industry. They are really great. Particularly the chef's! Would definitely recommend you stop here on a trip to Honolulu.
Best restaurant in Honolulu! It is run by students and they really make the effort to go the extra mile. We had tried Orchids across the road and paid $400 for a meal for two. Paid $150 here and the food was amazing and steak was exceptional, melt in your mouth. Scallops were cooked perfectly. This is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!!!!!!
