HIGHLY recommend this place! Food was delicious and the service was very friendly! They also have gluten-free bread available upon request. Would recommend ordering the Salmon BTL-A, very tasty!

Great brunch spot. I tried the crab melt (after going back and forth a few times between the melt and the BLT). I loved it! Very tasty and descent amount of crab meat.
Good spot for breakfast and lunch. Salmon BLT was good- large piece of salmon… bigger than I expected! Inside was a bit hot and the outside tables are in the parking lot, which is a bummer.
Stopped by for breakfast, staff was friendly, coffee was free, and the food was delicious!

Amazing!!!! My husband and I stopped here twice while in Homer. They were one of the only restaurants open for breakfast. We were amazed at the quality of the food, service and uniqueness of the menu. I got the mushers meal and stew cut oats. My husband got biscuits and gravy and the skillet. All were above expectations, even the stew cut oats were fabulous!! The Mushers meal was full of flavor and and surprised me with each bite. The other bonus is that they have complementary coffee, tea, hot cocoa and water. Highly recommend this cafe and can’t wait to return!
A great place for a quick breakfast. You can eat inside or take away. Our breakfast was very good, and it included free coffee.
I was raised and have lived in tourist areas most of my life, and have learned that many restaurants operate knowing that they'll have an influx of new tourists next week,. Having no need to depend on repeat customers they tend to produce mediocre meals at high prices. Let me assure you, that is NOT the case here. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. Despite being extremely busy my meal was delivered quickly and with a smile, everyone there was very friendly. I can't recommend La Baleine enough, they're a must stop for breakfast or lunch on the spit.
