Downtown - we have not been there for 5 years but remember it like yesterday. Please PM recipes!! Kansas is a long ways away
If you need to get food in a hurry this is a good choice. Good food, good price, and fast!
Simple, no frills, local diner, and 1.86 non-frufru coffee. Bacon Eggs Over Easy was a treat, with more than enough bacon and rice to satisfy this 5"9' frame. 🥓 Bacon, about 5 strips, was cooked perfectly on 2 scoops of George Washington hair-do shaped rice, yes not like some diners that gives you scoops of small ping pong balls for rice. Over easy eggs 🥚 🥚 x2 was big enough to smother all the rice after plugging my fork into its yoke. Picture says a thousands words, see my pic. Best thing over all is that this plate and coffee was under 10 bucks! My new go to wen in hilo.

Friendly staff, service oriented, professional attitude and they turn out a good meal for not a lot of money! 2 thumbs up!
So tonight we were those customers that came right at closing. With that said, they were still super friendly and kind to me and my daughter. The girl at the window gave us a great rec that's now a new favorite of ours (strawberry slush float with chocolate ice cream. Major props to them for making a last minute dessert trip with my daughter turn out to be a winner!
If you want an authentic American burger, Blane’s is the place. Handwritten signs, paper receipts with your order #, & coin gumball/Gachapon machines are the norm here. They still take Apple Pay but don’t expect there to be any other indications that it’s 2023, not even doors in/out. It feels a lot like the tire store it shares the parking lot with. Painted cement bricks, thin picture windows, open breezeway & hard Formica covered booths. With burgers, fries, loco moco & Portuguese sausage breakfast served all day who cares about fancy!
Blane’s is pretty good food with pretty good prices! No, they’re not gonna win any personality contests but it’s a drive-in, not Ruth Chris Steak House (><)
If you want (fairly) fast local food at a decent price, Blane’s fits the bill.

Mahalo (Thank you)
Very local, very good. Of course had to get spam and eggs! Exceptional coffe.
I’d say they have the best burgers that I’ve found on the island so far. Their style is like a meatloaf patty. The service is straight forward and can take a little long sometimes.
Very very bad the food was okay their breakfast sandwich was soggy we called in 25 minutes before we got there and we had to wait 15 minutes more and it not like we got alot of stuff we only got 1 cheese burger plain 1 breakfast Plate and 1 breakfast sandwich and while on the phone with them it was impossible for them to hear us unless we said it 15 times and this time we got lucky because half the time they don't answer the phone and when they don't answer the phone they are not even busy they are usually just standing around talking story . Blanes what happened?
love their food. their shushie floats are a must. the bentos are yummy.. the counter staff is awesome. I adore how she has the patience with the older deaf grandpa's.
Very good food and great service, wrapped in aloha. I had the deluxe saimen bowl, which was delicious.
