Friendly... very good historical location.. great sunsets and practically the center of Hermosa Beach (beautiful).

We had 1 night in this city, and we wanted drinks on the beach. This was the view from within, and as a Midwesterner I loved it. We watched the sunset, had decent drinks (both in price and flavor), and got to sit with the window open in the salty ocean air.
Maybe don’t use the bathroom....let’s just saw the public pier bathroom was 100 times cleaner.
Overall, nice spot. Definitely stop in if you’re looking for a chill place on the beach!

Great dive bar where you find some of the locals in town. Great drink prices, a place to hang out with groups. They have food specials on tacos, hot dogs, and burgers. During college football season, you can witness the young crowd playing flip cup or other drinking games in the back patio. Also the staff is friendly too.
The atmosphere is lacking, so are your options, the beer could be colder, and the servers could be warmer, but this is a true dive bar and it is right on the beach! I wouldn't usually give a dump like this five stars, but considering it's location (near the Hermosa Peer, and just 10 steps from the sand), where the locals come to socialize, it's a special place.
Hermosa Beach itself is a well kept secret, and if you've never been, you will find the beach clean and spacious with amenities just steps from the waters edge. Don't miss the Deck when visiting Hermosa Beach, these kinds of places are vanishing and being replaced with upscale overpriced bars, grills, and gastropubs everywhere. Enjoy the Deck while you can.
5 stars. Locals only. Tourists are welcome. But don't come in unless you're a local or chill.. And don't try to make up rules on the pool table, or play how you play in your uncle's basement in the midwest. 5 stars for a place to visit if your aren't from Hermosa, but locals only, preferred by the locals. Great beer. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Great locals. Cool tourists welcome.
A great beer and wine bar right on the Strand and just north of Pier Plaza. This is the successor to the Poop Deck Bar, and continues the same ambiance while including wine and credit card payments. A great bar for locals and visitors.
