Not enough Gluten Free options. Great food and knowledgeable staff, but no GF bread or hamburger buns. A great place to get a salad.
Impressed!. We went for dinner on Saturday and we were blown away! We made the mistake of going to a higher end restaurant for dinner last weekend and paid almost double what we paid at Walkers for food that was seriously lacking in flavor! The burger had so much flavor, the clam chowder was perfect, the chicken Alfredo was delicious, & the fresh croutons on my salad were great too! Definitely sticking to the local restaurant next time!
It's been about 6 months since I visited Walker's, but it was so good, that I still feel they deserve the recommendation. We went for a nice dinner after hiking and the food was delicious and local! I had the pork with cheesy polenta and green beans, followed by a salted caramel and pancetta pudding...fabulous! My other half had salmon and a berry crumble for dessert which were equally amazing. The server was very friendly and very informative on both the food and the wine. The restaurant owner even came and spoke to us to get our opinions. Yes, the meals are on the higher price range for the area, but definitely worth it! Perfect for a special occasion! Also, we had a peak at the lunch menu (lower prices), which looked good so we will be returning.
Great food!!! This is the best made to order food in the area! The portions are big and the prices are reasonable. The service was fast and friendly. Great atmospher!!! A must go to for all foodys!!! The menu is seasonal so be prepared to be amazed!! The best kept secret of Herminston, OR!!!
Wonderful!. Excellent experience! I had the wild salmon while my partner had smoked prime rib. The food was awesome, and the service was very good. The price may be higher than anything else in Hermiston, but I didn't think it was out of line for the quality.
Accommodating, seasonal, and inviting, the Farmers Kitchen made the perfect dinner stop on the dreary drive from Eugene to Boise. We requested dinner salads--not listed on the menu--for a lighter meal and the staff gladly accommodated us. The salads were gigantic, gourmet, and affordable. Disregard the wood-carved decor and focus instead on the handcrafted menu. Overall: awesome.
Good as it gets food. This place is very good. The food melts in your mouth, and the atmosphere is very comforting. Try the desserts, they are wonderful and all made from scratch daily!
Superb. I don't know why this restaurant is listed as a French restaurant at least based on the lunch menu. It was superb. Wonderful sandwiches on absolutely fresh bread, salads, homemade soup and friendly service. The waitress even brought a bowl of water for my dog. I had the albacore tuna sandwich with coleslaw as a side dish. Quite delicious.
Tremendous little place serving farm fresh food. All the staff are really friendly and informative about the dishes. I went with the Wagyu beef burger, it was tremendous, maybe one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Then for Dessert, I had homemade butterscotch pudding with candied bacon on top. If you’re passing through here, I definitely recommend this place. But it’s kind of small inside, so call ahead for reservations.
Small menu + moderate portions = amazing food bursting with flavor. Everything was delicious from start to finish.
The atmosphere is homey and comfortable, the server was kind and efficient. I enjoyed not having to browse 200+ items, wink wink Hales, and the portion sizes were filling but not over the top.
This restaurant is a great example of how great food doesn't have to be complicated. Hermiston has wonderful ingredients on it's doorstep, buying local and cooking fresh makes success.
Thanks again, coming back for dinner!
Amazing food! What a gem! The 1/2 pound waygu beef hamburger was thoroughly enjoyed by my husband. I had the shrimp and grits. The creamy polenta was one of the best I ever had. Very casual. NOT overpriced! Definitely a place to stop for in Hermiston. Check hours to be sure they are open.
Home cooked and delicious. It's not your normal restaurant. Setup in a old house setting they make you feel right at home. The only thing is no chocolate milk for breakfast.
Fantasticly flavorful food. The churrasco appetizer was brilliantly flavored and cooked perfectly, and the meal maintained its excellence from there. The duck pasta mixed light and savory notes wonderfully, the chicken fried chicken was delicious without bring overly heavy, and the ceasar and beet salads were refreshing and satisfying.
The capstone, though, is the dessert. If the Butterscotch Boudino and Italian Carrot Cake are offered, do yourself a favor and order both. They complement each other beautifully and won't weigh you down after your delicious dinner, instead leaving you with a spiced, satisfying and light end to your evening.
Cannot recommend Walker's higher! We will be back!
Charming location and fabulous food. Recommended temprenillo was a great match for lamb and beet root salad.
Food was good! Lil spendy for what your getting. Different! Not a lot of choices and if your into different try it
