Staff very courteous. Food is a great example of Eastern Carolina chopped pork bbq and Southern fried chicken. Slaw compliments the pork perfectly. Hush puppies decent. Cornmeal sticks better. Very clean and I admire their mission statement and adherence to and proud display of Christian principles and Biblical verse. Excellent tea, too. Have eaten there (Memorial Drive)
off and on whenever visiting Greenville or Farmville many times over the past 25-30 years.
Great food and Awesome service! The server we had was the best. Very informative of everything, patient and on point with everything. This was my first time and def will not be my last!!
Let me get the worst part out of the way: the French fries were cold and flavorless. Sure, the temperature is bound to decrease during their delivery journey, but I could tell they weren't fresh when they went into the container. I'm sure cramming them into the same container as my chicken and potatoes didn't help them get any less soggy (hello, condensation), but I digress.
As I have had the rest of the items from other places in ENC, it was hard not to compare... so although I must admit I've had better elsewhere, everything else was still pretty good and hit the spot. The hush puppies were my favorite!
I do recommend this restaurant, but as I have moved, I won't be returning anytime soon. However, I may do so when I come back for vacation. I knocked off a star for those horrid fries, but overall, I was content with my meal.
Pork BBQ sandwich took me back to my pig picking days! Flavor, portion, chop it's all there. The slaw was exactly as it should be. Nice nice folks making it all happen in their also. I'm ready to go back.
Awesome BBQ. Price and staff, double thumbs up. Family Style is the way to go when there are 2 or more eating. You get some of it all
The chicken is the best, although it's not quite the same since they've closed the lobby. Maybe the chicken is being cooked and sits longer because their drive thru only. Longer wait because you have to wait in one line but, I still give them a chance at least once a month.
