DAP House brings a flavorful palate with modern twists on traditional cuisines. Kicking off as the cornerstone of Dickinson Avenue, it sets the tone for the future to come. Every menu item ordered, has not disappointed. Having been used to the delicious pub-styled food served up by everyone's favorite, Christy's, this extension of fine dining is sure to leave your tastebuds saturated with a layer of goodness. Recommendations: shared plate of mussels, lamb, brisket mac and of course the fried chicken plate. The bar has a sterling reputation of well concocted potions to wash your dinner on down. Do yourself a favor and visit these fine folks!
We always get great food and wonderful service at DAP House, and tonight was no exception. The fried green tomatoes were everything they should be, plus sweet corn and bacon on top. It's an inspired blend of flavors and textures. Holly from San Diego was an attentive without being intrusive server; DAP House has the best trained waitstaff in town.
We arrived just after opening so were seated straight away. Beverages were on the table with good speed. A dozen oysters made a good appetizer, happy hour half price was great! My wife had Seafood Creole. Very tasty and the chef was not stingy with the shrimp. I enjoyed the brisket mac and cheese. Also very good. Both dishes arrived hot, a definite plus. Atmosphere was relaxed even as the restaurant got busier. We'll be back!
This place is a hidden gem! Food and service was great! Next time in Pitt County, you have to stop by.
The atmosphere was nice and the server was friendly and attentive even though it seemed they are about to close.
Not much of a selection since the menu is single sheet of paper that is printed on one side. I gave the Brisket Mac and Cheese a shot and it was very delicious.
I'm not sure how I feel about the place since it's a limited menu and very limited for those that do not eat fish, beef, or pork.
I may drop by for drinks .
My husband and I ate at the DAP house almost a month ago and it was delicious! The atmosphere was cool they have a lot of beers on tap. The food was delicious, I got the seafood creole and my husband got the brisket Mac & cheese both were very good! Just wish the seafood creole came with more bread as it had a kick to it, but just my preference!!
Dined out this evening, great atmosphere and even better food. We had the speckled trout over red beans and rice, delicious! Old Fashion for desert, service impeccable!
Wow! First time here. We came on our anniversary. Food was amazing! Server was Allie! She was good with her recommendations. Didn’t feel like we had someone hovering over our shoulder the whole time. Our table remained clear. Drinks remained full. Food once again was sooooo good. Atmosphere 10/10! Highly recommend
