Great food! Ordered the chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken tikka, chicken biryani, and kadhai lamb. They were all well cooked and great amount of spices!
Our waitress was super sweet and nice. However I was questioning the waitress’ knowledge of the menu. He spoke limited English so he was not able to fully answer my questions. He didn’t know what chicken 65, butter chicken or Nahari was. Probably because those are American terms.
The chicken Tikka masala was similar to butter chicken.
Overall, pretty restaurant and awesome authentic desi food!
Tandoor is wonderful!! I have never had a bad dish there! My husband LOVES that he is able to have his meals "Indian" hot and I can choose what heat level I like! The staff are always friendly and welcoming!!
If you are new to Indian food they are always happy to help you discover a dish you'll be happy with!!
They have great take out as well!! They give you just as much (if not More) than when you eat in!!
Been going here for years and that's because this is the best tasting and most authentic Indian food in Greensboro. The cook is very consistent and that is hard to find. The spices used and flavors are always mouthwatering and depending on what you order, it will come out steaming on a nice hot skillet. The naan selection is great! I highly recommend this restaurant.
We've been going hear for years and it remains one of our top choices for Indian cuisine in North Carolina. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is consistently absolutely amazing. We are vegetarians and always find plenty of options available on the lunch buffet.
I love this restaurant! Have been going there randomly (although much more often in the past 6 months) for about 2 years. I have yet to have the problems that some of the other reviewers have had. The staff has always been very nice to my friends and myself. The atmosphere is a bit quiet (but this may be because there are usually not many parties dinning at the same time). The food has always been good in my opinion. I am not a big fan of the lunch buffet, but it is only because I like to order "hot" and "Indian hot" (the buffet is mild at most for obvious reasons). This is definitely on my top list of places to eat in Greensboro.
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Greensboro. The food is absolutely amazing. I've eaten here dozens of times and never had a bad meal. Their selection of vegetarian options is fantastic. Try the saag paneer and thank me later! The staff is super friendly. And it's not an issue to eat in, even on the weekends - they seem to do mostly takeout business so it's never crowded. I will go to Tandoor over the other Indian places in Greensboro, like Saffron, any day. Their prices are more reasonable and their food is just better.
Quiet family run place to dine in. Reasonably priced buffet. They offer the same fare most of the time. The food is ok. One great plus point is that they offer chai tea with the buffet.
The people who own this place are kind, gentle folks, but customer service as you would expect in any other typical American restaurant, is non-existent. They don't smile, don't talk. So, don't have that expectation.
Yet, this is one of the places we dine-in the most and is my favorite Indian restaurant in Greensboro.
