Vinny's is exactly what you think it is and it makes it a perfect dive bar full of lovely people and western Michigan culture located on the northeast side of Grand Rapids. Vinny's provides a down home spirit and a great place to grab a PBR and test your luck playing a little Keno. Come to Vinny's where you are sure to make a friend and have a good heartfelt conversation about the philosophy of life. Vinny's, it's exactly what you think it is where community is always on tap, even if the beers aren't.
Vinny's is a lot of fun! The locals welcomed us and were very friendly. Kelly was our bartender and very fun to talk with. Good selection of beer, and they have Jameson ;-) Prices are great, but... Bring cash, they do not accept credit cards!
Not sure how long Vinny's has actually been open, but my Dad worked for Vin when he returned from WWII. I'M 59, and can remember going in there with my Dad when I was 4. There are several "neighborhood" bars in Creston Heights with lengthy histories, but Vinny's has changed the least over the last 80 years.
They have a unique self-test to judge your inebriation level at Vinny's too. If you can get down the steep back stairs without falling down them, then you're ok to drive.🥺

Some good people during the weekend some shifty people also, but the weekdays are "where it's at" with this bar. Nothing about the bartenders except their all great! Thanks Vinny for the good spot to hang out in.
Great juke box dive bar if that's what you're looking for. Locals love to drink and are friendly. You are always welcome whether they know you or not.

Always a good time in here. Local bar local people. Good conversations. Good prices. It's small but I serves it's purpose. Long work week. Or a quick stop before you hit the downtown life.
