We had Gino's delivered as a late night snack at our wedding and from the get-go Pete and his wife (sorry my mom spoke to you I can't remember your name!), were unbelievably sweet. We were super happy they had gluten free options for our guests with dietary restrictions! When we went in to pay for the pizza Gino wished us a lifetime of happiness and threw in t-shirts for my partner and I. We absolutely smashed the pizza, which was DELICIOUS, so I don't have any pictures. But I do have a picture of my partner in a Gino's shirt enjoying our honeymoon at the botanical gardens. Seriously amazing service. We'll be eating much more Gino's Pizza from now on! :)
I did a little research on pizza places fairly close to the hotel and decided on Gino's because of the reviews. It's a carry out shop with a couple of places to sit, but nothing fancy or extravagant. All that aside, you're dealing with a place that has been a family owned business for 53+ years. I met the owner who is the little kid in the logo from when this joint was operated by his parents. He's a wonderful, friendly guy who takes pride in what he's doing. He told me he worked all day in the yard and still got in the shop to make what I have to say is one of the best strombolis I've had anywhere. Please do yourself a favor and order from Gino's and maybe talk to the staff. You won't be sorry!
A year ago, my husband and I stumbled into a hole-in-the-wall pizza place about 10 miles north of Grand Rapids called "Gino's Pizza" and it was AMAZING.
I asked the owner if he was Gino. He told me that he's Gino's son. His dad came from Italy and started three pizza places. He and his brothers run them.
We stumbled into THIS Gino's Pizza the other night - obviously the brother of the other guy.
Once again, the pizza is this little hole-in-the-wall place is uniquely amazing. Better than anywhere nearby.
You guys do your dad proud.
Gino's is thee best pizza in GR MI! Our family loves the taste and how authentic it is. The "24 inch is great for parties or just extra for later.
The BEST place in Grand Rapids for pizza. The owners are very personable and down to earth. Every time I come in to town I make sure to stop here for a pie

Hands-down, the best pizza in all of Grand Rapids. Honestly, I would say my favorite that I have ever had in my life. There’s something about the crust and the slightly sweet sauce that is unmatched anywhere else. Of course how could you not just adore Pete and and his gorgeous wife, who are always tirelessly working our after hour slinging pies?! Price is right. The late hours are awesome. Service is always spectacular. Family-owned for over sixty years. Ginos is the best. 👍👍🥰😋🥰
I called at 1:30 am on a Friday night. The man on the phone was so kind, polite and helpful. I told him we had no power and our house may be hard to see. He assured me they would get here and get us fed. They were timely and the pizza and subs were delicious. Thank you so much!! Highly recommended!
Well, lemme tell ya 'bout Gino's pizza, folks. I ordered me a pepperoni and mushroom pie, and dang, it was somethin' else. The pepperoni had a real nice zing, and them mushrooms, well, they was like little flavor bombs and I mean hell, the sweet sauce is why we come am I right?
Now, don't get me started on the delivery guy. He was a real hoot, I tell ya. Showed up quicker than a hiccup and had knew exactly where he was going. My dang old front yard with me and the old lady.
So, if you're lookin' for some down-home, lip-smackin' pizza and service that'll make you feel like won the lottery, Gino's is the place to be. It's the kind of meal that makes ya wanna kick back, crack open a cold one, and enjoy your Sunday. I’m bout it.
I grew up in the NYC area and so I’m quite familiar with the pizza found at the center of the universe (NYC). The pizza here at Gino’s is without a doubt the best pizza I’ve had outside of the big Apple. The sauce was phenomenal, as well as the cheese and toppings. The crust was just right—not too thin and certainly not too thick. We also had a side of mozzarella sticks which were awful but the pizza more than made up for it. I recommend getting the marinara sauce (of which there is plenty in each cup) and dipping the pizza crust in that. Will definitely be coming here again if I ever find myself in Grand Rapids in the future.
Spectacular pizza from a wonderful family pizza shop. Owner and staff are all welcoming and friendly. Just looking at the pizza shop tells you only great things come out the door.
If you haven’t been, give it a try. This place has a permanent spot at the top of our list. The pizza is delicious, the sauce is so good, and the feeing of stopping in the shop is something you just can’t replicate anywhere else.
As a bonus they have the coolest t-shirts available. Super comfortable with the classic Gino’s logo.
