This is a really big Panera nestled between two buildings in downtown Grand Rapids. There's no parking so you have to walk to get there. It's my first time at a Panera. We ordered Broccoli Cheddar soup in a bowl and in a bread bowl with chips and a baguette. The baguette was hard but the soup was amazing. It's a beautiful location.
Service is fast and friendly. The line can sometimes get long during lunch rush hour. I’d highly recommend ordering online and pick up if you’re short on time. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, but a bit hectic right in the middle where everyone is waiting for their food to come out and pick up at the counter. The variety of options mostly includes sandwiches, soups, and a couple bakery options; like bagels and cookies. Price point on average for a person to eat here would be around $15. Which would include half a sandwich and a medium drink.
Highly suggest ordering online - makes checking out easy and quick plus the extra customization of freebies.
Only draw back is that sometimes the lunch rush can can overwhelm the kitchen.
This has to be one of, if not the, best Panera Bread location I've ever been to. The service was fast, and it was nice, calm, and open. If a large group came in, there was an easy way for you to get far enough away from them to enjoy your time there without distractions. The front desk did take a bit to have a worker get there, but since it seemed like they were short staffed, it was more than fine. The kindness of the staff was also a nice plus!
The bathrooms do require a pin, and the employees were able to assist me almost immediately.
I am definitely going to use this as my go-to location for my sip club membership!
Let’s be honest here. Every time I see the price after my order. I always go “why the hell is it $40 for two damn sandwiches.”
Employees were very polite and helpful, food was great, and the location was very clean. We went at an odd hour between lunch and dinner and we were almost the only people there.
One of my favorite places to eat. Everything is good and the service is fast.
The lady that was packing my food was amazing. She was so busy, she did not stop to converse with her coworkers at all. She was focused and so nice. The person I was with yelled at her for my order and she politely just said she there were a few orders ahead of me and got my order right out. She was amazing and extremely patient.
The food and area is fine and everything I just found it irritating that they needed me to order before using the bathroom.
Most of the dining experience is like other Paneras. Here are key differences: the hours on door are wrong. It takes a code to go potty. If you let staff know there's a lot of coffee grounds in the pot, nothing is done to correct it. They close on holidays without warning nor signs. Slow service due to lack of employees. Great food and customer service otherwise.
