I've eaten here about 5 times, the poke bowl is excellent in my opinion! I've tried several sushi rolls, sashimi, and the seared tuna appetizer, all of which were delicious. The bubble tea is made to order, delicious, and not overly sweet.The staff is friendly and the service is good. I very much so enjoyed my time here. I also highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent sushi.
This place is LEGIT. We go out to eat a decent amount and I didn’t think I would find a sushi place that I liked better than my previous favorite. The decor is great, staff is friendly and helpful, and I’m yet to find something I don’t like on the menu (despite having tried different things almost every time we’ve visited). If you don’t/can’t eat sushi, you won’t be disappointed with their other options. The chicken teriyaki and fried rice are incredibly delicious as well. If you haven’t been to Simple Fish, get there!
This place is always hitting the spot. The seared salmon belly is amazing along with all of their rolls! They have a bar area also! Great atmosphere the owner and the team really welcoming and know what they’re doing!
The atmosphere was great, and the customer service was excellent. The server, Daniel, was quick and described the food excellently. I wish the Philadelphia roll had more flavor, especially with the cream cheese.
New to the area for work. Stopped in for a quick lunch. The food was definitely fresh. Service took a little longer than anticipated, but I still enjoyed the time. I had the poke bowl, gyoza, and a mango bubble tea (not pictured). Parking was super easy out front!

I've eaten here twice a week (at least) since early 2019. Not only the best sushi in Grand Rapids, but some of the best I have had, ever. The staff is wonderful and kind, the food is not just incredible, but generous in size and portion. At this point, I think I've taken at least 15 people there, simply to evangelize it.
AMAZING!!! I wish I could give them 10 stars! I have eaten sushi all over the world and this rates as one of the very best. I am in Grand Rapids for work and I went to another sushi place before I found Simple Fish. I gave the earlier place a 5 star but SIMPLE FISH takes it to a whole new level! The quality and artistry is AMAZING! REALLY, REALLY, REALLY SUPER GOOD!!!
Stumbled upon this gem of a place by accident while looking for something to eat. Although I'm not a huge fan of seafood. What I ate change my mind. The poke bowl in particular was amazing. With the combination of eel sauce and spicy mayo, I never thought that something this perfect on a dish. There's also a great selection of Japanese cuisine and alcohol. The staff were amazing and attentive. Atmosphere is pretty modern and roomy. Solid place. Would come again.
I’m obsessed with this place. The food is always super fresh and delicious, and the portion sizes are amazing for the price. Service is always great as well!
Sat at the bar with my 8yr old and had the best fresh sushi. It's our new go to place!
Sushi burrito is great. I have seen them online and always wanted to try one.
Don't forget to try the boba! I've had the taro and the papaya and they were amazing.

The wait was very long. I understand we had a large group, but we waited over an hour for food. The other problem was some of our group ordered actual drinks, and received them, but out of the ppl who asked for water only a couple received any. At that point the service was so slow we just opted not to bother the waitress for a drink, so as not to distract her. The food is very good though.
