Well I'm a middle aged man just realized I do MA shyt. Maybe it's time for a corvette. I've been to many cities and try breweries, cigar lounges and food. Until today the Woodbrigde brewery was the king. This place edges it out. The selection, food, atmosphere and seating is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. This is my last brewery in Grand Rapids it was a good choice. It can't get better.

Founders Brewing Co offers a diverse range of craft beers, showcasing a commitment to quality and innovation. From the robust stouts like KBS to the hop-forward IPAs like All Day, their lineup caters to various tastes. The taproom ambiance is inviting, providing a great atmosphere to enjoy their brews. While some may find their beers on the higher side in terms of alcohol content, the bold flavors make them worth savoring. Overall, Founders Brewing Co stands out as a stalwart in the craft beer scene, consistently delivering memorable and distinct brews.

Founders was okay, not nearly as great as other breweries I've been to in Grand Rapids and elsewhere. The service and atmosphere are just ok, the menu is pretty limited to bar food. As far as food, I like a salty pretzel, but if you look at the picture you'll see that this one is over the top! Also love thousand island on a Reuben, but had to ask for extra because... also see picture. Not a bad experience, but won't be back.

My family was in town for a family reunion and we decided to go to Founders on a Friday night for dinner. There were 18 of us, and we did not arrive as one party. The staff were very accommodating and sat us close together so we could get up and visit each other. The food and beer were as expected: delicious! We kept our server on his toes, and he was fantastic

Please excuse my long story. I understand your impatience. Here it is, I was here early on a beautiful Tuesday morning. I was there to celebrate my friend’s 70th birthday. I am lucky that I live in Grand Rapids and that there are many good breweries that are accessible and that we have good accessible mass transportation in Grand Rapids. Founders are located within walking distance of downtown, a free shuttle is available nearby, and the city bus depot is in front of Founders, within walking distance of many other great breweries. About 5, or 4 years ago, I had no interest in craft beer. Then one of my friends who has been in Craft beer invited me to Founders. It was the Green Zebra, a gose type beer, that sparked my curiosity. Since then I have tried many styles, have expanded my palate, and visited many breweries. I have visited breweries in Texas, Pennsylvania, The Big Apple, New Jersey, and North Carolina. And to me Founders gets positive checkmarks in every area that a Brewery and its establishment for patrons should receive. Now, I understand those who are down on Founders but you have to compare apples with apples. I came to the craft beer scene when my Muscular Dystrophy got worse and needed a powered chair. So my craft beer experience & my powered chair have become like one entity. It does limit me in visiting breweries, going to festivals, getting my hand on beers and getting to the places I would love to visit. And! now my review. Founders Brewing Company is a world-renowned brewery that has been producing award-winning beers since 1996. The brewery is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is known for its innovative brewing techniques and commitment to quality. The atmosphere at Founders Brewing Company is casual and inviting. The brewery is located in a historic building, and the interior is decorated with exposed brick and wood beams. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to help you choose the perfect beer or food item. The brewery has a wide variety of beers on tap, including IPAs, stouts, porters, and sours. I’ve made several trips to Founders. On this day, I tried the SMASH Bros Czech Pils: Collab with Arvon Brewing. SMASH stands for Single Malt and Single Hop, 5.2% ABV. A collaboration with a very good brewery. A delicious Pils. I always hesitated to get the chicken wings, not anymore, but I was impressed with my chicken wings, half barbecue/half hot, delicious, washed it down with the Double Red X: Imperial Red IPA w/German Red X malt and other hops. Malty sweetness to balance the flavors. 8.3% ABV, and another well made beer by Founders. The food was just what the doctor ordered. I hope my photos can speak to the rest of my review. Salud! 🍻

We had a lovely time here, the staff were kind and willing to answer our questions about the beers they offer. The pricing is reasonable and our meals were fresh. We appreciate the volume of seating options both indoors and out and that they offer many of their specialty brews by the bottle.

If in Grand Rapids this is a must for the experience. If you are looking for a really unique brewery this won’t be the place for you but as much of their beer is available nationwide they have done a great job at consistency in their taste. All the beers I tried were delicious as expected from here. Make sure to get here early as this is a tourist destination and will fill up quickly. We couldn’t find seating inside but they still had patio seating available. Really great spot.

Great beer as always! I am so glad they have a vegan wrap as well as generous homemade chip and gauc portions. The wrap was so big and filling that my partner and I shared it!

Great brewpub in Grand Rapids. Flights reasonable, "tastes" readily given. Knowledgeable bar tenders gave good recommendations on what I might like when I described what I often drank. Duck nachos were tasty and well loaded with toppings. Fries were delicious. Good, friendly, warm atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Founders is the epitome of what Grand Rapids means to most people. The largest craft brewery in the city with internationally-sold brands, Founders earns Grand Rapids the title ‘Beer City USA’ in its own right. The beer garden is *the* place to take an out-of-towner for dinner. It’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a fundamentally Grandrapidian spin on the German Biergarten. You could bring board/card games here, or just sit for hours. Prices are fair, and the sandwiches are good
