The ribs were wonderful and really large and meaty, with a spicy sauce. Cornbread was good, and we also had blackeye peas and cole slaw, both very good. We had been there before and had chicken and oxtails, both delicious. The house-made peach cobbler and pecan pie were great. This is a very plain place in a storefront, and the staff(owners?) are very friendly and helpful. This is the only restaurant I remember visiting that offers Kool-Aid. Owners are from Arkansas and there is a big Razorbacks sign on the wall.
The woman working tonight was so sweet and friendly! The sweet tea... No words can say how good it was (coming from a gal raised in SC!!)! The pulled pork sandwich is worth coming back for! It was fairly quick and a great place to stop.
Food was amazing! Catfish and fried chicken were awesome, hot link was perfect and their bbq sauce was definitely top quality. Collard greens and fried okra were extremely good. Atmosphere was nice, very homey and Terrell was a great host. For some good home cooked style soul food this place can't be beat. Will definitely recommend and better believe I'll be back!
Went here on a whim one day for lunch and I was very pleased! I don't eat meat so all I got was collard greens and red beans and rice. Both were excellent. Coworker got a pork chop sandwich and he said was very good with moist meat and a side of coleslaw he said was also good.
I only put 4 stars because of my lack of experience with the menu. I will be going back to try more!
We've been there several times and have probably tried almost everything on the menu. Have NEVER been disappointed. Carla and her crew turn out some of the finest catfish, pork chops, ribs, okra, greens, sweet tater pie, bread puddin', pecan pie and with the friendliest smiles and lots of laughs. I could go on and on but really all I want to do is go back again. See ya soon Miss Carla. ❤
The staff was absolutely delightful, extremely friendly! They made the experience very nice. The food was to die for, sooo delicious! The portions were very genorous and it was all good.
This is a most hit restaurant if you're ever in the PHX/Scottsdale/Glendale AZ area!
First off - The customer service was GREAT..the lady that took my order was VERY polite and nice!
Second The lemonade was FIRE!!! BOMB! best lemonade I wish i could of taken a gallon HOME
Third - The banana pudding was FIREEEEE I ate one there and the TOOK one HOME and ate it the SAME DAY!
Fourth - The peach cobbler was fire!!
Fifth - The chicken was FIRE..nice and crispy..i had it with BBQ (FIRE) and hot sauce which was good too!

Overall the food was GREAT and the customer service was awesome! I WOULD definely go here again, and i WILL be back!! THE LADIES were so NICE! i hate trying new places ..but im glad i tried this one! THANK YOU!!!
Their potato salad is very delicious. Have had their fried chicken, breading was seasoned well, rib tips were juicy and flavorful. Also their Kool-Aid was on point!
I went to this place with my sorority sisters because we needed a place that had some good old catfish. I definitely got that and the candid yams were delicious. Sweet tea was amazing!!!
the shyt was bomb to me my husband took me once and cant stop going with or without him lol the pork chops was bomb the mac the greens the rice an gravy the yams the sweet potato pie I have had more and its all delicious
Really good, home style cooking. Bbq chicken, red beans and rice, black eyed peas, Mac n cheese, Coleslaw and tea.
Great food... I'm from GA and this the best spot I been to for southern food... I'll be back guaranteed💯😍
