Just moved here from the Atlanta area. Was having a hard time finding a good Gainesville restaurant that was open on Sunday. Decided to give Skogies a try. Had been there once before and remembered that it was good but it was years ago so had no idea what to expect. Friendly staff and delicious food is what I got to experience this time! I had fried oysters, fried okra and their homemade mac 'n cheese. The oysters were pretty darn good for being this far inland. The fried okra and mac 'n cheese were outstanding. Loved the atmosphere and will definitely be making this a regular stop.

Friendliest staff; we ate outside and our dog was sweetly spoiled by the staff and other guests. The food was great and the menu has a wonderful selection. Fast and prompt service. Definitely a new favorite spot when we come to the lake.
