We've eaten at dozens of P.F. Changes and this was delicious and on point. A little slow to be seated (and not very busy) but the flavor more than made up for it. The Mongolian Beef, spicy green beans, and chicken fried rice were all amazing and the entire family enjoyed.
Located at one of the corners of the Butch North Mall, which has many stores and restaurants the exterior is definitely gravitating. The inside is nice as well with open cooking display area and Asian theme decor. During the meal the customer service definitely superceded everything else. The waiter/bartender gave his undivided attention and had great conversation. The food was okay but entrées came out at different times. The atmosphere was relaxing and the lighting was nice for the setting.
PF Chang never ceases to amaze me. The food is absolutely scrumptious and the level of service is exceptional. We ordered pan fried dumplings and calamari for appetizers. For lunch, we ordered the beef and broccoli and the short ribs, followed by the crab Rangoon and three orders of cheesecakes to go.
Great food and drinks. A must try are the chicken lettuce wraps and their shrimp dumplings to start. For the main dish lo mein is awesome, fried rice is good, orange chicken and my favorite probably the Mongolian beef. Food is always good and fresh.
The only reason for the 4 star review is they ALWAYS take their time seating when you enter. Place can be dead and I still have to be seated for some reason?? When we are greeted and the place is dead we should get sat right away. Never fails waiting to be sat for what? Please help streamline the process.

Family outing to dinner and the kids/ teens wanted P.F. Chang's. It's been many, many years since I dine at this restaurant; it was in Miami/ Kendall area. I remember it being very good. Naturally, I was looking forward to trying the local Gainesville branch as well. From the moment you walk in the doors, the greeters/ hostesses and the waite staff were very friendly. You can tell they wanted us to have an enjoyable experience. Appropriate suggestions were made and foo came out in a timely manner. Here is where the lower star rating comes in. My daughter ordered spring rolls - she and the kids did not care for them or the taste. My starter was the egg drop soup. I did not expect it to come out brown. of course I was looking for it being on the yellow side. The taste was good; nothing spectacular though. Drinks (non-alcoholic) were serves. My server went above duty and was able to secure me a glass of pomegranate juice. Delicious! Kids ordered Honey chicken with rice and Orange chicken with rice and side of noodles. Daughter ordered LoMein with only broccoli (She's not adventurous!) and my order was the Spicy Korean Glass noodles with beef. I was very glutinous.... I completed my meal. It had the right amount of light spice and very well seasoned. The other 3 took their remaining portions home. Unfortunately, after about and hour my stomach began to churn when we went to the movies afterwards. I experienced 2 episodes of diarrhea. Scary feeling while attempting to watch the movie. While my daughter and kids went to see a second movie; I passed and went directly home, to get comfortable for a long night. Would I go again? Most definitely. The episode may have been a fluke. I have a desire to try another dish which caught my eye. I'll keep you posted.
This is by far the best restaurant in Gainesville. My wife and I come here all the time. It is our most favorite place to eat. The food, service, and atmosphere are the best. Everyone from the greeter to the server to the cook to the bartender are top notch. We recommend this restaurant to everyone we talk to. We even come here for special occasions such as our anniversary. At this particular visit we had the pleasure of being served by John. He was great. Even in the times of everything going on with shortages in supplies and what not he was still able to take care of us and fulfill all of our favorite dishes and his co-bartender was able to make delicious drinks for us. The drink choices are on point. The food is always delicious. I have never had a dish that I didn’t like. If you love good food and service you should come here. My favorite is the pan seared shrimp dumplings and the whiskey sour!
Service was great. However the food Is just okay. But my ornaments drink was great ... just needed one more shot of vodka. Decor was nice . The water had a weird taste though.
