By far the best sushi around!!! There ginger salad is good. It’s nothing like Yamato’s just FYI. The soup is the same. I have not been disappointed at the place. Even got my husband loving sushi now!! I feel it’s also very affordable. So much to choose from as well. Non sushi items for those who don’t like sushi.
Fuji Sushi has the best sushi! My favorite is the Mt Fuji. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. It just melts in your mouth!!
Great Sushi. Everyone can attest that the sushi at Fuji Sushi is great. Quality of the fish is always fresh and the flavors abound. It's a traditional style sushi place with limited seating. During busy ours the place can get a bit hectic for seating. I tend to notice when a larger group of 6+ or more come in things can get a bit backed up. I wouldn't recommend brining a large crowd here during the busy hours. It ruins the experience for everyone. The owners are very nice and make you feel like a customer. They know all their locals by name and make you feel welcomed.
I highly recommend going here and trying their sushi.
Small, clean, outstanding service and reasonable. Delicious sushi!
Good overall, needs minor tweaking. I'll start with the good. The Korean-style ribs were delicious and very tender. They were a bit on the sweet side, but not intolerably so. The steamed broccoli that came with it was also cooked perfectly, unseasoned. The accompanying white rice was sticky and had a wonderful consistency. My dining companion had the maki combination roll. While I didn't taste it, I can say the portion was generous and the fish looked fresh.
Now to the less-than-good. The gyoza apparently comes fried only. It was greasy and bland. The onion soup tastes like it is reconstituted from a cube and rehydrated onions. It was way too salty.
Service was surprising chaotic given that there were only two servers: lots of redundancy and confusion. You'd think given they way they were flitting about that they were slammed, but this was not the case.
Best Sushi in town, hands down. It's easily the freshest, best presented, tastiest, and creative sushi in town. Dragonfly sucks. Ichiban sucks. Fuji rules. Eat at Fuji all the time!
Best sushi in Gainesville. This is, by far, the best sushi restaurant in the Gainesville area. I can't speak to the quality of the kitchen food, but the sushi is par-none. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. I have always enjoyed the highest quality fish here - you know it's good because you don't even need to add sauce, it's so delicious without. Beautiful presentation. The servers are very knowledgeable and kind as well. The prices are very reasonable, too, which is an added bonus. The only drawback to the restaurant is its small size, but this is easily overcome by its charming atmosphere and short wait times (I've never waited more than 10 minutes for a table, even on a Friday night). This is my go-to sushi restaurant. Personal recommendation: the Jade Roll or Dinosaur Roll. Do NOT confuse this with Fuji Hana - totally different place.
Eat Here!. A friend moved to the area and said there were no Sushi restaurants in Trenton. So we checked out Fuji Sushi not too far away in Newberry. It was great!! Just as good as what I find here in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami metro areas. The service was excellent and friendly and the setting lovely.
I would eat here again and my friend who lives in the area is a new frequent diner,
Enjoy!
Good stuff. Fuji has a friendly staff and good rolls. My personal favorite is the jade roll.
Nice Staff, Decent Sushi. This is our neighborhood go-to place for decent Japanese. The staff is friendly and you'll probably see some people you know there!
I have traveled in many states from big cities to small ones and have sushi in each. Fuji sushi is ny far the best. Wade makes an awesome spicy girl roll and love story roll. If you like octopus try the baby octopus salad. I traveled two hours for sushi here and it was well worth the drive. If you really want good sushi don't pass Fiji sushi. If you local It's the best in Gainesville!! you won't be disappointed!!
Fuji has become my favorite sushi place in town. Every friend I've taken has been impressed and would much rather come here for great sushi than to fight the crowd at trendier places in town that aren't as good.
Small and casual sushi restaurant. The fish tasted pretty fresh, but the rolls are definitely more westernized. Most of the sushi rolls are either covered in mayo and eel sauce or have cream cheese. Prices are reasonable for Gainesville area. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for food.
Wonderful dining experience, the food and service were well above standard. Thunder Roll, Spider Roll, and Crunchy Shrimp roll were works of art almost too beautiful to eat. Everything tasted as good as it looked, and we now have a new favorite restaurant to go to! Thank you Fuji Sushi for a great dinner!
Decent sushi for Gainesville. Love Roll is excellent. Not much traffic from the looks of it and the chefs are soso. I am not sure if my chef was in training but the rolls looked sloppy. Overall, fish was fresh, rolls were decent.
I recommend trying Fuji Sushi on a Sunday afternoon. The food is just as delicious, but it is not as crowded. Our service was excellent and our waitress made great recommendations. I had to try the Mt Fuji after a friends recommendation and it did not disappoint. We also tried several other popular rolls and all were fantastic.
What a wonderful Sushi place to eat. Food is Fantastic and Gorgeous artwork. A great Birthday Dinner tonight. Love it and Highly recommend this place to anyone that loves Sushi
