Great place! My family and I were passing thru heading home from vacation. We stopped in to grab dinner. Great food! Friendly staff as well! Bring Oscar's to St. Louis!
We ordered the veggie, chicken, and fish tacos... they were all delicious �... we currently live in Georgia but were visiting Franklin....Oscar’s was definitely a treat for my 10 year old, 11 year old girls and myself!!!

First off, I'm a sucker for a Mexican place that has refrigerated unlabeled squeeze bottles of red and green hot sauces. They're almost always making them themselves and I always use too much of them. Oscar's has them, and I like it. While they have lots of the usual offerings, I've enjoyed the fish burrito due to it's simplicity. It's a canvas for those hot sauces. The tacos al'pastor are about our favorite of the taco options. Good meat flavor. Their tacos are street style with double corn tortillas. The kind we like. Oscar's is small and usually busy any time near a normal dining time. It's not fancy, with plain tables, but it's kept very clean. Prices are low, almost Taco Bell low. (Not that I've been to one of them for 15 years, so they may be about the same price now.) Oscar's is a pretty good, quick, simple and tasty option for a low price.
Awesome hard tacos real authentic!
I know the original family in California. This place is excellent. Management needs some work especially if it’s the same green go lady I encountered over a month ago (hire someone who knows how to manage) Sometimes can be a hit or miss with consistency. This is legit California style Mexican food, hire a manager from California that understands quality control and good food. So far your the best in the area but who is in charge can make or break a place.
I visited for the first time today and it's the best Mexican food I've had since moving away from California in 2010. I had the 5 rolled tacos combo and the authentic taste took me back to my childhood. I live 2 hours away but I'll make the drive whenever I want a taste of home. The staff was very welcoming.
Stayed in Franklin on a 2 day visit to check out area & enjoy Nashville... Stopped in the his awesome little Mexican Restaurant & they are authentic as authentic comes. Everything was wonderful, tasteful and fresh. I recommend Oscar's to everyone & anyone in the area. Órale Oscar' Taco Shop!!!

As you can see this unique taco 🌮 shop is in the new and coming part of Franklin along the line of businesses across the street from a large pond. It's a great place to bring the family, date, or a quick lunch while sitting outside on the patio taking in the sun 🌞.
I am not sure who the artist is that painted all the murals on the walls inside but it gives this small shop personality that is for sure. I liked the large one on the wall to the left the most because they painted Oscar's Taco shop as is in a fun way and pretty good detail too.
Now to the food. After coming in and heading to the counter to the left around all the booths I step up to the counter to order. I am gluten intolerant so I stick with the basics cheese Enchiladas with rice and beans or tacos 🌮 to insure not reactions.
I order my meal and head to a bar top stool that could be used for alcohol 🍸consumption but not in use due to covid 19. The food came out very quick and tasted pretty good. It was all the basic ingredients and diffently real authentic Mexican food with out all the tex Mex add on. I have learned growing up in Texas 7 miles from the border that is a Mexican restaurant has orchata to drink 🍸 they are an authentic Mexican restaurant. This restaurant does serve this and fits the bill.
I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for true authentic Mexican cuisine but if you are looking for alittle more flavor try another place.
Staff were great not alot of English but you could tell it was family owned.
I was touched reading the paper of a young student posted on the wall near where I was sitting about what Oscar's Taco shop meant to them. They summed it up like this. Oscar's Taco shop is a fun place to come and eat with the family. So I will end my review on this note.

Tasty food, quick service, and reasonable prices. I loved the carne asada taco and the rolled taquitos. Will definitely be returning with friends!
One of my favorite places in Franklin!
This was the first one I ever tried and it's still my favorite location! I live in Midtown Nashville but I make it a point to stop by to get some tacos everytime I'm in the area. The amount of meat you get per taco, the flavor of all the ingredients as well as the freshness, makes every visit for me a reason to keep coming.
All the locations are very good but you definitely have to stop by this one if you want the very best. Every person I've brought here keeps coming back!
And no, I'm not biased because my name is Oscar. 😅
