Fantastic menu! Everything home cooked. If you are craving good home cooking this is for you. The breakfast menu is plentiful— not just scrambled eggs and pancakes. Breakfast sandwiches, platters, omelets , scramblers.
I had scrambled eggs, fried baloney, and the best biscuit ever—- warm , moist and buttery.
Large cups of coffee—no need for refills. I ordered tea— a huge cup, two tea bags and a carafe of hot water — plenty of tea. The wait staff is fantastic and friendly. Love this place!
True classic diner fare. Well seasoned southern classics for breakfast lunch or dinner. Almost anything you could want for exceptional hometown food and service.
Busy local diner. Biscuit and country white gravy was excellent! Home fries were small cubes of potatoes fried very crispy. Fried eggs were adequate. Bacon was a bit too crisp for me. Meal cost $8.00.
What an excellent find in Franklin!! Not too many people places serve chicken fried steak and fried okra but I’m here to tell you this place is one of the best. You gotta try those cheese grits also they’re fantastic! The sweet tea is awesome good also. If you stop here, you’ll be surprised by the reasonable prices and the outstanding quality!
We were visiting Franklin for the winter and we came upon this little gem. Very pleasant atmosphere, and everyone was really nice. On top of that, the food was great! The hot chocolate was so adorable, and I definitely recommend the bologna sandwich. Definitely give this place a try ❤️
This was the best cafe I’ve been to! I live an hour away & stopped in with my children & when I say the most kid friendly I mean the most! They had little games, coloring pamphlets & even the chef made my daughter pancakes with her name! It was awesome! We had a great experience, service was excellent & the food was AMAZING! Even tho it’s an hour away it’s worth the drive we definitely will be back! Thank you Franklin cafe our belly’s were full and our day was made!
Went for breakfast. All of us enjoyed our breakfast. Even though they were short staffed, our server handled everything very well. Excellent service and great food!
Stopped by for lunch while traveling thru the North Carolina mountains. Food was outstanding (everything is made fresh) and the service exceptional! Our server, Ashley, was very friendly and attentive. She told us about the area and introduced us to the owner, Crystal. Crystal, her husband and all the staff are dedicated to making the Franklin Cafe the best restaurant in the area and constantly looking for ways to give back to the neighborhood. It's a great place to eat and relax. Will definitely stop back by when in the area.
Always wonder about a last minute decision to a diner, but the food was so good and staff so sweet to us traveling through!! They really went above and beyond to make this a happy place to enjoy some good food! We would definitely visit again if passing by! Franklin Cafe was definitely a hit with us and from the locals that knew the place.

My favorite is the Pimento cheese burger, Buffalo chicken sandwich or Philly cheese steak with a side of collard greens (no mustard or vinegar needed they’re perfectly seasoned) Not to mention the awesome breakfast menu 🤤 The “Jacked up biscuit” is where it is at! Pancakes are too delicious to describe! Come check them out you won’t be disappointed!
