I’ve recently started going here to eat, a lot more often. It’s gotten a lot better! The food seems to be cooked to order and fresh. I’ve been very pleased and the help is great! I like the different sides, healthier options and a good value for fast food and quality of food! Two days ago, I did order the spicy fish sandwich combo to go, and it wasn’t spicy. I’ll try it next time and check my order before I leave.
My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner at the Franklin Captain D’s today. To start with, the young man who took our order, Austin, was very courteous and helpful. We think he may have been relatively new, but we really appreciated his great attitude, which seems more the exception than the rule these days. The food was fresh, delicious, and ready quickly. The dining area was clean and bright. The background music was set at a pleasant level so we were able to enjoy some conversation at normal speaking level.
Since we are locals, if the restaurant keeps up this level of service, cleanliness, and food preparation, we’ll be coming back often and for years to come.

My husband and I enjoyed a meal in October on a Sunday. Though it was busy, the service was fast, the food order was accurate, the food tasty, and the dining area was clean and well stocked thanks to the young man, Orrin, who was hustling to keep it running smoothly.

I came to Captain D's here in Franklin North Carolina after exiting Winding Stair Gap from the Appalachian Trail. This was my next town to resupply. After being on the trail for over 2 weeks this was the spot that I knew I needed to stop. I stopped outside on the curb and I looked at their reviews online. After seeing it was a 4.2 star rating I went inside and took my chance. I can say this is the best Captain D's that I've ever been to. The store on the outside is immaculate but not in the best spot off the highway. The bathrooms were very clean, the service was outstanding at the counter, and the food is absolutely spectacular. Any day of the week I would love to come here and eat. The dining room is very clean, from what I could see the kitchen and the people are very clean, the food was amazing and the overall staff are very knowledgeable. If you haven't eaten here yet you absolutely need to.
We went with friends for dinner because we enjoy D's. Senior specials are great on Wednesday and Sunday for a deal. It also includes your drink also. ( see my menu pic) I added a 1/2 order of clams for $2.99 and tasted good. Food came out hot and fish was fresh. Covid precautions were in place and tables being cleaned was nice. My only dislike is the condiment packages that we have to use during the Covid times
This place is the best kept fast food secret that us Midwestern ers don't know about. We asked locals for recommendations and this wasn't one of them but so glad we tried it anyway. The salmon was excellent.
No complaints here! We visit Franklin often and decided to stop in for lunch. Restaurant was clean! We had seafood platters with fish, shrimp & deviled crab. Food was hot & not greasy. The fried okra was cooked perfect too!! Would stop in again if in town.
I enjoyed my dining there. The fish was well prepared and the corn was sweet. And the price was very reasonable.
Fish and chips were extremely good. Not greasy fresh cooked.
Myself & my Adult son ordered our food by going through the Drive thru,so that's the reason why I didn't do the Atmosphere rating.
