Gobi Bbq

It's clean, it's friendly, it's a little out of the way but there's no other Mongolian bbq that I've seen nearby in the peninsula for a long while. Plus... my 2 year old got to eat for free. Look, not all places have to be fancy or have some amazing unique dish that I love to become a 5 star. If I love the food or type of food and it's fresh and friendly, you win win win! I love noodles and my kid calls them NooNoo's. How adorable is that and it's a place we can share together. Pick your meat of choice, pick your noodles, then the best part: shovel on the condiments. Sure some people may argue the meat or noodles, but I love throwing heaps of onion, spinach and water chestnuts. Then you get to pick from a bunch of sauces to spruce everything up. Before you can list all the things you filled in the bowl, they've already cooked it on a giant hot plate with huge sticks and packed it in a perfect to go box or a plate you'll wish you had more of! The only downside to this place is it's not one of the all you can eat Mongolian bbq restaurants. But hey, the price is right and you can always go back for more!

Great choices of meats and vegetables that you can season and spice up yourself. Their chef will stir fry it for you on the giant cook top. Plenty of opportunity to create a different dish each time you go up for more.

Great spot with lots of variety. The place is brand spanking new and the staff intends to keep it that way (they were constantly cleaning tables, wiping counters, Ann’s tidying up the food prep areas). The cooks had smiles on their faces, meat and veggies looked fresh, and the price is just right (for the peninsula). They even had yummy sides (chicken wings, fried rice, soup, other fried items) and dessert (ice cream) David welcomed all guests, helped a family with children get their food, and made sure to check in. Wouldnt been surprised if this place was packed the next time I come!
