Great food, great down home atmosphere, Mrs. Lucy was a gem my first time going, it won't be my last.
Mom and Pop restaurant. Neck bones we're falling off the bone good. Black eye peas we're seasoned and flavored well. The red beans were good and sweet but good. Corn bread was pretty good. It was my first time so I will have to check it again. I want to try the ox tails and pork chops. It's tax season so half the restaurant was tax filing. The service was very good. Portion sizes we're large also.
OMG! The first time to visit this establishment. I wanted soul food and what I got was way on the other side of delicious. The pork chops were tender, the sweet potatoes were sweet and yummy. I got what was called a mixed vegetable stew, I dont even like mixed vegetables but oh my goodness these were to die for. I can't even begin to describe the corn bread. I can only SMH with pleasure. If you want down home good eating this is the place to go.
Was in hospital for 3 days so I needed some special soul food ,my wife went here and got me the best baked chicken in forth worth. they really do a very super job here nice place to dine in to ,very affordable and tasty delights love y'all Hoberts soul food ,something like M&M's in California so super thumbs up guys y'all rock .....
The food was OK... The people there were awesome... I was told I should go on a Sunday, that's when its Soul Food at its best... Too bad I did't listen. But I will be going on a Sunday.
Great food ! Everything was perfect I’m a big fan of greens and these are by far the best greens I’ve had since I’ve moved here !
