1st visit. Nice homey feel. Order at counter and sit at table of your choice. Food brought to table when ready. Variety of choice from plate lunches to sandwiches. Fish, steaks burgers look awesome. Breakfast served as well. Definitely returning to try other options.
This was the first place I hit after flying into Dallas. Pulling up, parking was difficult to find, but I usually take that as a good sign so it wasn't a huge issue to park on the street. Immediately, the atmosphere and warm colours were a welcomed sight. Ordering was easy and they were fine with a few adjustments to some of the orders.
The food came out quickly and dear gods it was delicious. I got the Chicken Fried Chicken and it just fell apart as soon as I bit down. Most likely a buttermilk recipe, the breading was so light and airy.
The servers were wonderful and attentive, kept the drink refilled and made sure to take any cleared plates. Overall, the experience was absolutely wonderful and it made a great first meal in Texas.
Literally a small mom and pop place. Good food. The service was fast and efficient (the son was taking care of the till and service). Had some great pickled green tomatoes.
Visited several times before reviewing. Staff friendly and the food so yummy. Husband really liked his chicken fried steak and pot roast while I have had steak finger basket and Philly cheesesteak. It’s always busy and everyone seems to leave happy. Parking can be a bit tricky during lunch but worth it!
Pretty good food. Really nice staff. A lot of menu selections, just not organized to simplify ordering. I prefer table side ordering, but counter order placement here works, it's a smaller restaurant. Will be back again. Plan to try dessert next time.
I had a great experience at Old Neighborhood Grill. The staff was really friendly, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. The menu had a lot to choose from, but I went with the chicken fried steak and catfish. Both dishes were delicious, and the green beans on the side were a nice, fresh addition.
Great Neighborhood Grill
First time visit this morning. I went in hoping for a nice place to sit down and have breakfast. I ended up finding a cozy, pleasant and delicious diner. With cute, unique, local fifty’s decor. Our server and cooks were friendly and welcoming. The food was just as great. Awesome flapjacks. They have breakfast in the morning. Than lunch and dinner. They have all the comfort foods. And a liquor license to boot. My first visit. But more visits to come.
We were looking for a neighborhood diner and this place delivered! The service was great, atmosphere feels like eating at grandma's and the food was delicious!
Found this place while spouse was in Baylor Hospital. Mom & pop style place, with excellent down home meals whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Friendly and grateful staff.
5 minute walk from the hospital. Great place to grab a bit when you don't want to drive somewhere or if you don't hospital cafeteria food. Both times I ordered the food came out perfect, as ordered. The salmon is amazing. Old diner feel. When driving by you'll miss it if you're not looking at the buildings (passed by it once myself looking for it!).
