Puritan Brew Co. has put itself at the top of the list with locals and visitors. On the eastern hill of Dickson Street in Fayetteville, Arkansas this craft beer and specialty coffee shop stands proudly. Established in late 2014, this young shop brings a wake tradition through its sought after local and foreign beer selection. Not only is it known for its wide variety of beer brought through its 20 tap wall that is cycling through the top brews in and out of the country. It also provides third wave coffee with local roaster Onyx Coffee Labs as its soul provider. This shop follows the long standing premise of the early puritans "go where it is better". Puritan shares a space with Fayettechill Clothing Co. during the day with an open metal door.
Absolutely love Puritan! Their hot chai is amazing, and it's great to be able to choose between a coffee and a beer. The place has a great vibe and usually plays good music as well. Great place to people watch from the tables on Dickson. A must in Fayetteville!
The atmosphere is great! The layout of the shop is really good. There is a lot of indoor seating that's great for getting work done, studying, or just spending time with others. There is also outdoor seating, covered and uncovered with lighting for a good atmosphere, as well as a loft with a few seating spots inside separate from the main floor. The service is really good, the staff are always super kind and personable, and the drinks taste super good. My one complaint is that the music is usually too loud. It helps for keeping your conversations private, but it makes it difficult to focus at times.
The atmosphere here is to die for and is a perfect study spot. I got an iced lavender latte and the avocado toast. The toast was just ok, the salsa verde on top was a little strange. My friends got their cinnamon rolls and they were fantastic warmed up
This is an amazing hip place in the downtown area. The atmosphere is so chilled, the coffee is good. There is a nice selection of beer on tap. I spent some time here alone chilling with my glass of iced mocha. The brownie is good. Coffee and brownie, everything is just perfect, moderately sweet. The place is great for chilling alone, working on laptop, hanging out with friends, or even for a casual date. Highly recommended if you are around.
Visiting from Oklahoma while my fiancé and I are on spring break. We always visit Puritan Coffee for a quick visit before we go hiking or go exploring. The iced matcha latte was delicious and far beyond my expectations!!! 11/10 the best matcha I’ve ever had from a coffee shop.
Puritan is a great place to grab a drink and meet up with friends! They have a great assortment of coffee, beer, and cocktails as well as sparkling water and light food. The interior is spacious and modern but the booths have tall backs and make private nooks. The front room has tables and a loft and is a great area to study or to work on projects. All of the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Fayetteville. They also have bingo (I think on Saturday nights?) And give away pretty good prizes. The drinks are priced very fair and they have an extensive choice of coffee and beer.
Puritan is amazing! Great selection of coffee, beer and mixed drinks. This place was already great. But they have renovated and the place is now twice as big! And it looks better too. Just look at the pictures! Stop by when you can. This is also a place to sit and work/study.
Puritan has great coffee and I look forward to trying some of the snack/meal options in the future. They do a good job shading parts of the patio no matter what time of day it is. I am always happy to meet folks here for a drink and have never heard a complaint.
Beautiful renovations-so well done! Floor to ceiling windows are refreshing and provide a beautiful view. Puritan is my by far the best coffee shop / cafe in Fayetteville. The food (especially the veggie breakfast burrito and the banana bread is SO delicious!). I was pleasantly surprised they started making their own food—a wonderful improvement. The trivia nights are a really fun atmosphere (but bring earplugs bc music is extremely loud).
Absolutely recommend this spot! The earlier you go, the better seating you can get. Pretty packed with college students throughout the day and can be hard to find a place to sit.
Critiques are: certainly need a nicer/newer/cleaner microwave and the ability to warm food for customer (instead of customer doing it themselves.) And offering some yummy speciality syrups like lavender, etc., that both Onyx/ Pink House Alchemy have locally. Offering croissants would be a huge plus.
