We haven't been out of the house for a while due to covid...what a treat! We had the Malaysian standards and a few treats from the Bakery. The Nasi Lemak was great, the Curry Puffs as well. The Bubble Tea was unexpected and the kids loved it. Tea for the adults was great and warmed us while we watched the snow squall. Out of the way but worth the trip. Got street parking this first pass :-)

I am going to be fair as this is a Covid time review. They are doing takeout, not sure about outdoor dining. On a normal day this is a spacious and comfy looking bakery that specialize in Malaysian cuisine and baked goods with Chinese twist. I got some loots to try out. I like their prawn mee little spice. The rengdan chicken was ok but maybe it is cause I don't care for dried curry- spicy but rice was yummy. I have a liking dessert...like the kuih talam pandan and ube ang ku best. Curry Puffs!!!! Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Other patrons were kind and respected social distancing rules. It was getting busy on Labor Day by 12pm. 10 minutes wait time, can call in order I think. The menu is on Facebook, check before you go. *I learn some kuih last 2-3 days in fridge, read can freeze, not sure. Also can reheat to soften via steam couple minutes or place in tin pan over hot mug of tea.

This is a rare Malaysian bakery in NYC. It sells many varieties of southeast Asian desserts. Like the Colombian bakeries next door, they also serve lunches and dinners. The place is clean, and foods are decent. The desserts are good. I give the store 4 stars although the owner/cashier can be really cranky. 😅

Came to this place after foodies’ rave in social media. The food are decent, the famous Char Kwetiauw was good and had smoky flavor yet I had to add the soy sauce for more balanced taste. Overall it’s a good coffee shop with fresh made to order food and traditional sweet and savory goodies.

Cakes, Breads, ... many flavors with a reasonbale price. Their bubble is great as well but sometimes it taste weird (I believe it is based on the preparer which they have two ladies). Convenience location with nice customer service.

Hidden jewel of the area. By far, their Nasi Lemak its the best, and they also have Nasi Bakar. If you have a thing for sweets, they have amazing desserts and pastries.

Authentic home style Malaysian-Chinese eats. It’s a bakery but they also serve heartier meals as well. Their curry has a nuanced and well-spiced flavor that’s different from more traditional Malaysian restaurants. Their snacks are great (get the fried seaweed rolls and sweet glutinous products!).

5 stars for all the kuihs the store sell. Where can u find Malaysian Nyonya Kuihs in NYC?? Very hard lah! Trust me I am Msian and beat kuihs in town is at Little Cafe! The owners are a Chinese Malaysian family sharing Msian delicacy, I tried their Char Kway Teow, Fried Carrot cakes, Assam Laksa, all very good and authentic. The kuihs are to die for, I visit them monthly to stick up on kuihs. I freeze them and eat them throughout the month. Some have to eat fresh bc some don’t freeze well. I love supporting small business! Location is slightly out of the way though.
