Howah: Shrimp Dinner with Buffet for half price of other restuarants. If you are seeking absolutely the best Chinese food in El Paso, keep looking and budget
perhaps $25 a person for dinner. If however if you are seeking the best value for Chinese
food in El Paso you have come to the right place! Most nights they have shrimp on the
buffet. So as a savvy culinary consumer seeking value you can go to Red Lobster and pay
$15-$20 a person or you can dine at Howah and get a nice Shrimp dinner with fries, and
over 20 additional Chinese items for half the price the price of Red Lobster. You don’t
normally think about a Chinese restaurant for fresh vegetables. Their chef has mastered the
art of stir fried green beans... Absolutely the best I have ever had. Other excellent dishes
Moo Goo Gai Pan, and Beef Broccoli, They normally have two types of lo men. They serve a variety of hot vegetable and chicken dishes which my wife raves about The additional benefit of Howah is a wonderful waitress named Annie. (An Asian woman with a great simile and short hair) You need to sit at a table where Annie is serving. Annie treats you like family. After you have dined at Howah 3-4 times she remembers exactly what you want for drinks. Your drink will never get half empty and she checks to make sure everything is ok without “:hanging over you” . The epitome of excellent service So if you’d like a real nice dinner for two and you want to stay around the $20 mark check out Howah

I love this place. I love the service that we get from this waitres can't remember her name right now but she has really short hair. We go there atleast 3x a month and she knows what we like to drink will go rinse my lil boys cup and fill it with juice and is very attentive. The food is not bad either. I would recommend this place.
All of the food was delicious, and the staff and owner were very kind and did their jobs well. The interior could be better, but that will come when more people choose to dine here.
I will be coming back for more
The food was SO delicious. Will definitely be returning here again. I've been looking for lemon chicken like this a long time and finally found it. They serve the lemon chicken with a delicious lemon sauce on the side and it's so good. The portions are great and the prices are reasonable. The noodles and fried rice are really good as well. Highly recommend.
Every time we visit El Paso we always make sure to stop by & have lunch here! Great food, not crowded. Decent food portions. 😀
I am BEYOND satisfied with the taste of the food and service. Yes, as others have mentioned, the entrance of the restaurant is a bit run down but the food and service certainly make up for it.
Upon entering we were greeted and asked to seat where we liked. Their lunch special is currently every day and comes with your choice of soup and egg roll. ( We got spring rolls because they didn't have any egg rolls) To me that's a good thing, because they are made fresh. Egg drop soup was nice and hot. Spring rolls were good and crispy. Hunan chicken was delicious, fresh and full of vegetables. Fried rice could do with a little improvement. Portions are huge.
Had a slice of their famous Japanese cheesecake. It was good, however I think I'll stick with the original since I like my cheese in my cheesecake but it was good and different.
I highly recommend it to anyone, just wish there was a location on the East side I could visit more often.

Great food. I'm lucky about my Chinese food. This is far better than any buffet in town. Large portions of everything you order. A small start up that has been here 3 years. It was not busy. I did not have any problems that the others have listed
Great taste(not too salty or oily) and you can’t beat the lunch special price. We started eating there 2 times a week. We highly recommend it.
The entry: The experience was pleasant. I was happy that l overcame the initial apprehension when l entered at seeing the leaking roof and pails all over the place.
Ambience: The decorations were minimal and a few Chinese paintings and orange with. A golden lion did not do justice to the food.
Food: The food portions were big. The party of six ate to our full. The individual hot and sour or egg drop soup and large bowl of rice started the dinner. The spicy shrimp/ chicken pat tai, Orange Chicken, the chicken noodle, fish with ginger plate, fresh long beans tasted good.
Price: l was pleasant surprised that the food was value for money. Soups, Five dishes and hot water cost less than $65. Six adults portions - value for money.
Customer service - the lady who served us was excellent and took care of the many request for pepper, the chilli sauce, rice resupply with a smile.
Military Discount: this restaurant gives military discount. 🤠
Not gonna lie... the place doesn't look that great as you walk in, but the food is excellent! We have definitely found our chinese place in the Northeast of El Paso. We tried the teriyaki chicken, vegetable lo mein, lemon and sesame chicken, and we loved it! Very delicious.
We had egg rolls, spring rolls, spicy rice noodles, spicy kung pao chicken.all the food was very fresh&tasty.it was one of the greatest places to eat cantonese.the food was great! Also it is open to a large dining area that was very simple.the staff was very nice, friendly, helpful&courteous👍loved it💯
Don't be thrown off of the color scheme and Vibe. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. Was very surprised at the portions and the prices. Well worth the money. The food was very savory and filling. The service was excellent and the waitress was very helpful and made sure the food was made to my dietary needs as well. I should have taken more photos of the food but it did not disappoint. Definitely coming back here again soon.
