Village Inn

Wonderful experience dining at Butter Smith. My family and I have never dined here, but I have always wanted to try. One Friday night around 10pm, we wanted to grab some late dinner. We normally dine at IHOP and would generally receive decent service, but this one particular Friday night, we arrived at IHOP and sat in the waiting area. And that's basically all we did. We sat in the waiting area. There were about 2 tables being waited on (one, a party of 4 and the other, a party of 2). After entering and waiting to be seated, we were not greeted nor acknowledged nor offered a place to sit even after arriving after 10-15 minutes. Other people started to enter and another group of 3 left as soon as they saw our party and another party. That was when we decided to try Butter Smith. Upon entering, the restaurant was busy (it was past 10pm, mind you) we were greeted and seated immediately. The server that evening was a petite woman, she was pleasant and attentive and got all of our orders correctly. The food was typical of diner food, well maybe slightly better than diner food. The pie was delicious. All in all, we will now be switching to Butter Smith as my family's go to restaurant. Sorry IHOP, but you guys have just lost a customer. Perhaps maybe I should thank IHOP instead, for helping my family discover how much better it is to dine at Butter Smith.

The service was good the food were of good size servings, and the pies were great.

Hi guys, this place is cozy and beautiful! They serve up a warmer canister for a regular hot cup of joe. Good for 2 people and comes with a variety of cute creamer cups; or you may enjoy it hot and simple! The breakfast ultimate plate comes served hot and flavorful! It can be cooked for dinner if you like. And I did have it for dinner, because it had just the right portions for proteins and and bite size potatoes! So yummy!

Came here for the free pie. I liked the atmosphere and they seemed really busy. I got the crepes and I thought they were pretty good. A good mixture of fruit and filling. I got the French Silk pie and it was quite worthwhile. Very creamy and tasty. The bacon was okay, but the hash brown was not so good. It tasted as if it needed more of a cook internally. The wait staff was busy but nice enough, overall I thought it was a decent visit. I'd recommend it.

It's a fun diner style restaurant, with a mostly breakfast menu. They did have some items suitable for a lunch or dinner, and they serve alcohol if so inclined. Did I mention they also have the best pies in town! We went there for lunch and I had their green chile chicken enchiladas. Very flavorful and perfectly cooked. The huevos rancheros looked wonderful as did the scrambled egg dish that others at the table ordered. We also sampled several of the pies, I recommend the wild berry, the cherry and the apple pie! They have them by the slice or whole pies - in many flavors! Service was perfect and fast. Will go back again!
