If I had to rank places to get stuck during a Thunder/hail storm, The Owl Saloon is not a bad place.
Very reasonably priced beers, service was great if you were at the bar, okay if you were at the tables. (Servers & bartenders were all very nice, just busy so you had to wait for cold beers if you were at a table)
Tater tots were good. I thought the Chicago dog was mediocre, but that’s okay, overall it was a great experience and the bathrooms had lots of mirrors for high quality selfies.

Had a great time great drinks and was around some great people. The bartender Lindsey was great excellent service I will definitely return. I even met an O'G from NYC that use to live in my neighborhood, what a coincidence.
Good little bar spot on Colfax - Karaoke on Saturdays is fun to watch. Usually enough space for decent standing room if you’re unable to find a table.
Drinks are good and fair priced. The crowd always seems to be having a good time which lends a hand to the experience/atmosphere.
Typically start here and then venture across the street to the Abbey.
Gabby the KJ is phenomenal. The bar staff is also great. Ask for Lidsey she is fabulous. She will mix you up whatever you ask for. Special mention to Arnie dorm pouring up some good beers.
Great local bar where everyone is welcomed. I enjoy the vibe of the place and they even have karaoke sometimes. They serve food that taste pretty good and have a good variety of beers. I enjoy coming here.
Great Saturday night Karaoke! Visited from Texas on a recommendation. Would recommend it as well
My new favorite karaoke place for Wed and every other Saturday
Great hole in the wall. Drinks and food are good. Very laid back place to chill on a Sunday afternoon.
Popped in for a beer and ended up ordering one of the surprisingly best personal pizzas I've had in a minute. Respect to the kitchen!
This place was cool, has hella dollar bills stuck to the ceiling. Asked the bartender what that was all about.
Said it was an old Colorado mining tradition that bar patrons would stick dollars to the ceiling so if the mine caved in the money went to the families.
Even showed us how to do it to add to it !
