South Broadway is where it is at when your in Denver. It is a cornucopia of amazing culture, diversity and entertainment. Venture around and you might stumble onto a hidden gem far from the view of others. In this case The Denver Tea Room and Coffee Salon is exactly one of those hidden gems. I happened to be driving and caught a glimpse of the front sign. It is hidden in the store fronts of The Broadway Junction apartments building right along your Broadway commute. This is not a very easily seen location from the road, but with plenty of parking in the retail lots in the back of the complex this is a must see and try for your south Broadway experience. This is not your typical coffee shop, no, it is so much more. Offering a wide variety of coffee, it also boasts a large collection of tea including a high tea room for reservations. The location also boasts a full bar with wine, champagne, and beer. Hungry they'll whip you up some of the best breakfast you can find or a small plate for lunch for those on a time crunch. Bottom line is the airy open location with such a huge selection and an amazing staff is well worth a special trip. If your not checking it out then your leaving more room for me and my friends!
I loved the afternoon tea, all of the food was so good. It's a really nice touch that the tea room calls you the day before your reservation to discuss of anyone in your party has dietary restrictions. The only thing that was disappointing to me was the tea selection. When you arrive you're given a tray with 7 tea options. Some we're good but most were flavored tea, which I'm not fond of. I'm not sure if the teas rotate daily or weekly, but when we visited there wasn't an option for a plain breakfast tea!
Great High Tea Service and excellent coffee in the front room as well! Staff was very passionate and their attention to detail really shows in the service and servings. Vegan prepared foods were some of the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely Christmas tea when we couldn’t get in to our “regular” place. Scones were excellent and tea selection was perfect. A nice place tucked into an inconspicuous location!
This is a lovely setting and experience. We highly enjoyed talking my son and his grandma for their first high tea for our birthdays, we are all February babies.
Went for lunch, get the cucumber melon green tea, limited breakfast menu but was good, friendly staff, quaint sitting area that is modern and bright.
Had a wonderful high tea! The room is decorated so nicely, very nice spacing between tables and the food was amazing! I'm gluten free and it's not always easy to do a high tea gluten free. The tea selection and quality was also fantastic and they serve alcoholic beverages. We will be back!
My friends and I attended a themed tea, Harry Potter Tea. The staff was very friendly and the attention to details was incredible! The tea was yummy and the food delicious. As a small business these ladies go out of their way to accommodate their guests. I think that the biggest thing I could say was that booking/reserving for this special event was a bit challenging.
Went for the high tea service. The tea is very nice and the finger sandwiches and scones are to die for. Price seemed fair for what you were expecting - it is a high tea service after all. Also had a mimosa which was a little pricey, but very tasty! Would recommend this for anyone looking for a fun experience and a light and tasty lunch.
My friends and I went here for a bridal shower and I could not have been happier! all the food was fresh and tasted great. the tea was perfect. the atmosphere was so unique and traditional at the same time. very clean and well put together. To top it all off we were treated like royalty. the staff treated us like we were the only ones there. it was private and quiet and a wonderful getaway from the daily city life. i highly highly recommend denver tea room.
