5 stars. Been wanting to try this place for a while and wasn't disappointed. Got the catfish sandwich (crispy) and loved it. Ordered brisket and Mac for a 2nd meal in the evening and also thoroughly enjoyed them. Gotta say though, their waffle fries are some of the best I've ever had, great seasoning. Surprised more people don't mention the waffle fries in their reviews. Also, online ordering and pickup was a breeze.
Today was 3rd time I visited Genna Rae’s. I live over 45 minutes away, if that tells you anything about this place.
When we got our food and opened it to eat outside the restaurant. We saw 3 guys walking towards the restaurant with a smug look on their face.
A look like they knew what was up. 🤭😏😁
Never been disappointed in terms of portion size or price at Genna Rae’s. It’s huge and fairly priced.
Jerk Burger is THE BEST burger ever. Its huge. None of the pictures on the reviews do it justice in my opinion.

I’ve frequented Genna Rae’s In The past and have had mixed experiences. I went during a lunch rush last week and they were extremely busy compared to most times Where you can get in & out with no problem. The customer service was fantastic I called ahead so I could skip the rush my food was ready and the man at the front provided excellent and speedy service even though it was busy. As for the food it was 7/10 I don’t know if the grease in the fryer was too high or if ordering crispy wings = Cajun but they were a little on the dark side otherwise everything was good I recommend for a quick bite of soul food if your in the area.
We tried 2 other places for catfish in the area and they were all closed. Finally we found this little gem. I am from Oklahoma, but live in Montana. There is no catfish there, much less greens. These are literally the best greens I've ever had. The catfish was amazing, great flavors in the corn meal. Everyone we spoke to was super nice, and our food was brought out to us. It is take out only, bit there are a couple of picnic tables at the little library that is next door. Perfect!
The food is amazingly good. The wait was 25 min. It’s an order to go place. Not a sit down restaurant. While waiting for our food we walk in a nearby park and watched the dogs go wild.
Genna Rae’s is the truth. Great food!! Ribs, jerk chicken, catfish, wings, greens, Mac & cheese, baked beans and the surprisingly good sweet potato salad… oh an that run cake was 🔥. The customer service is off the charts. Naz was amazing, very professional and ultra personable. Can’t wait to go back again before we get outta town.
I've had a lot of different items here but I just had the wings and they were outstanding. Mac and cheese was delicious. Great food,great people. Definitely support a small business. You won't regret it.
I wanted Buffalo Wings during the Nuggets NBA Finals Game 3 and found this spot on Google maps and drove over right at half time. I got in and they were closing up ( I should’ve called ahead because they do last orders at 7:30 PM on weekdays)… but the owner was SO NICE and friendly and made fulfilled my Wing Craving come true. Such a kind gesture of him and his kitchen staff to do this for me. The wings are The BEST in Denver and I know wings being from Upstate NY and my Dads side of the Family from Buffalo. Thank you Genna Rae I will be back for the rest of the menu!! 🔥🙏🏼
Came by genna rae’s just before they closed for the night and couldn’t be happier that I did, I grabbed the combination plate with fish and ribs and I’m almost upset I didn’t get more fish to go with my order, I’ll definitely be back for more!
Me and my wife were in town for a couple weeks staying in downtown Denver where there are a abundance of restaurants and we tried a few but Gennas was the only one we tried more than once, three times matter of fact. The last time I was there I got there 15 minutes before they even opened, but the door was open so I walked in and was greeted by a friendly guy name “gin” he let me put my order in anyway and we ended up having a delightful conversation about politics and his store, he even brought out samples of the brisket I ordered and let me taste test. He also informed me that business slows down around December, January so if you can still show them some love, wish we had a place like that in Saint Louis, they even offered to bring your order out to your car. The last time I drove away I was a little sad because I knew I’d probably never be back but the smell of the food I had just scored made me feel a little better, once again thanks
