I was surprised by this cafe; I'm used to the standard setup of generic foods like pizza and sliders and such at a museum eatery. However, the T Rex Cafe has a "choose your adventure" style World BBQ section where the food is made-to-order (for the most part... ask for fresh fries if that's your side) and pretty interesting in a very tasty way. I ordered the jerk pork loin sandwich and the meat was cut fresh right in front of me. The sauce choice runs the gamut from basic to "out-there", but if your
Value, value, value. We got sandwich, giant slice of pizza, a milk and a softdrink all for 22 bucks. All decent snacks as well.
I might have to come back to the museum just for the pepperoni pizza, that stuff is divine for just $10 for two slices
Pretty decent kids meals for the price. The macaroni wasn't the greatest, but the kids were fine with it. Bonus star for offering fruit as a side item. Staff was friendly and everything nicely spaced apart. Lots of options and nice for being inside of a museum.
Loved my expresso, they know how to do a good one.
Love their blend, it tastes so good.
Made my own salad at T. REX cafe. Great selection, loaded my plate with salmon. Yum. Good for a quick bite when you dont want to leave the Museum. Kids enjoyed the mac and cheese.
This is hands down the best museum / public place cafe I have ever been to. And they really care about giving some healthy options. The food is affordable, and you don't have to buy a lot of it.
Big open buffet-style serving area handles crowds well. Very popular menu items and great salads. And a very welcome chance to sit down and test in this sprawling museum complex.
Location was fantastic! This was my first time in and I was impressed by the level of customer service as well as organizing and cleanliness. The food was good and the desserts seem house made.
