The previous reviews almost kept me from this venue, but I am beyond pleased my party ignored them and elected to dine here anyway.
I cannot emphasize how pleasantly surprised I am at the level of cuisine I experienced when dining at Palace Arms. The atmosphere set the expectation when it came to what our dinner was going to be like. The environment is ornate, meticulously curated, and an amazing homage to Napoleon Bonaparte.
As for food, we started with an incredible scallop appetizer paired with a delightful elote sauce. For dinner, my husband enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass. I myself had to sneak a bite, and it was a melt-in-your-mouth dish that was incredible. I had the wagyu ribeye, cooked to absolute perfection. I also cannot over-emphasize that the foraged mushroom are hands-down the best I have ever enjoyed.
Our waiter, Michael, was an absolute joy and his passion for The Brown Palace came through in everything he did.
I highly recommend Palace Arms for your dining at The Brown Palace. This was one of the most amazing dining experiences I have ever taken part in, and I am so excited to come back in the future.
Outstanding service, food mostly good especially the seafood, and Caesar salad, good desserts. Sent back a prime rib, but still was billed for it. Over cooked New York steak.
We were visiting Denver from the Cincinnati area and heard from many that the Palace Arms was a must! Upon arrival at The Brown Palace Hotel, we were delighted by the beauty of the lobby and enjoyed a few moments of the jazz combo playing before we entered the restaurant. The Palace Arms is steeped in history and the decor certainly reflected that! We started with a glass of Cava for me and an old fashioned for him along with the caviar and blini. A real treat! I ordered the salmon and the skin was perfectly crisp and delicious. His NY strip looked more like a filet very thick and boxy instead of long. He also had to send the steak back as he’d ordered medium and it arrived rare. Arrival of our first drinks took almost 30 minutes. We were told a server had called off. But our server did not charge for my Cava as an apology, and gave us a comp sherbet for dessert. The check came with two large and delicious chocolate truffles. Despite the bit of a service hiccup, we enjoyed the meal tremendously. I’d recommend for anyone looking for an elegant meal in a very interesting venue.
Place was nice! Food was average! The atmosphere was nice, but the service was exceptional!
We came to dinner here a couple weeks ago for our anniversary. The hostess congratulated us first thing. Our server was Merrick and he was top notch! We loved the table side made Caesar Salad. My husband ordered the duck and it was delicious. I ordered the vegan risotto with mushrooms and it was good but I wouldn’t rave about it. The side dish of veggies we got were cooked to perfection. At the end of dinner we were offered complimentary chocolate truffles. The ambiance is so lovely. It felt nice to be taken care of in this beautiful space. Highly recommend!
Great food, but even better service. Menu describes the Palace Arms as a dining museum and the relics of Napoleon make a beautiful and unique environment.
When you're staying at the Brown Palace for a special occasion, as were my wife and I, and you want to be a little decadent without regard to cost, a fabulous dinner at the Palace Arms is "just what the doctor ordered." Highly professional staff, absolutely outstanding entrees, great wine list, elegant cozy atmosphere.
My wife & I love The Palace Arms, excellent food, excellent atmosphere. Mary was our server and she was very kind and professional
Enjoyed our wedding reception at the Independence Room (private room of the Palace Arms).
Chris was great to work with and helped us out during a very busy time of year.
Appreciate the wonderful dinner and service!
This was one incredible experience. There was an extensive wine list to go with some fabulous starters. I didn’t know I was missing Wagyu tartar in my life until tonight. So much flavor! The mains did not disappoint and I have a picky eater in my family. The ambiance is amazing and there are so many things to see but we just didn’t have the time (lots of museum level relics and art).
