Wow! We ordered the Chef’s Menu and it was BY FAR worth it! Every single thing they gave us was a 10/10. They gave us so much food! 3 plates of appetizers/antipasto, pizza, pasta, steak and dessert! The food tastes like it’s an art form- like the Chef really enjoys and specializes in it. Phenomenal! Service was great, too!
Joey was an absolute delight! Great and friendly service, little anecdotes, and fresh food explanations. The food was fantastic and a great example of food made with history and passion. An absolutely delightful evening. Wish I had a little more time and money to dive into the wine list!
We had a wonderful experience eating here!
We ordered a few dishes to share, the menu is impeccably designed.
We started with the burrata, which was very creamy and served with amazing bread.
Then we shared the Luca salad and carpaccio. Both were delicious, the carpaccio especially!
Finally we had the short rib. I’m a huge fan of short ribs and kind of picky when it comes to the flavor, and this dish was incredible! The meat was tender and flavorful, and paired with a creamy, buttery polenta and sweet carrots. We were in love!
The staff here really know what they are doing. Service was phenomenal and so helpful to us when picking out a wine, and the food speaks to the amazing work of the chefs. Thank you so much for having us, we will definitely be dining again!
I sat at the bar with Joey, a very sweet and adorable bartender here, tonight for a treat myself birthday dinner. He made me feel welcome immediately and made one of the best old Fashioneds I’ve ever had. As for the food, I got the bolognese and it was absolutely mouth watering. Possibly the best dish on the menu. I ended with a Banana Cannoli which was just as amazing. 10/10 to the staff that worked tonight!
Our first experience at Luca was wonderful! The overall atmosphere and ambiance is cozy, service was on point, and the food was delicious!
Portions are great for sharing, allowing you to make a spread and taste more of the menu!
We didn’t have room for dessert- but we will definitely be back!
Thank you for a great evening and dining experience!
One of the best for vibe, food is exceptional. Try the fried zucchini absolutely amazing. Then head straight for the Bolognese, the sauce is truly special. Finished with the sea bass. All we're sharable. Wine list is pricey, but definitely had some affordable options as well. Felt like I was in Italy.
I brought my girlfriend to Luca for hwler birthday knowing it would be a great experience because Luca has the best Italian food in Denver possibly the state. But what I didn’t expect was the extra care given to us by our server, Jordyn, who made us feel like we were in her own home having dinner. She was amazing!! Huge props to the staff for ensuring everything was accessible for us as my girlfriend uses a wheelchair. That’s not always easy to find in downtown Denver. Thanks Luca for such a special night!
We went during Denver Restaurant Week and the food was very good. We got the wood roasted eggplant and the PEI mussels. Both were very good. For the second course, we got the shrimp diavolo and mushroom fusilli both were exceptional. In the last course, we got the salmon and the braised ribs. All the food was very good and the service was very good. Do keep in mind that they do have 22% gratuity.
Are you kidding me? @luca_denver the best Italian restaurant we’ve ever been to in Denver!
What a gem! The food is to die for. You feel like you’re in Italy with such a cozy vibe. The warmth of this place makes you wanna come back over and over again. This restaurant will serve you free glasses of champagne and celebrate your occasion with you. The service is 100/100, the nicest servers and cooks. Always excited to go back.
Authentic. Fresh. Creative traditional Italian.
We were greeted with a welcoming glass of gently sweet Prosecco. The fall inspired menu was perfect for a cold night. The shaved roasted Brussels sprouts Caesar salad was a surprising delight. Flavorful, crunchy, creamy but not wet. The flavor combination is more than the sum of the parts.
But, oh!, the angolotti! It was butternut squash the night we visited. Absolutely a revelation. Somehow innovative and solidly traditional. Much honor to this Chef.
Our thoughtful, highly professional server treated us with a tiny chocolate mousse that was smooth, dark, and not overly sweet. A flawless ending.
