Best bar staff in town! Always very kind and attentive. I highly recommend the burger, burrata or citrus mixed green salad. As someone that lives in the neighborhood, this is always my go to when friends or family come to visit!

Wonderful atmosphere. Love that simple food can be elevated to a high level. I has swordfish which was beautifully cooked and loved the smokiness from the wood fired grill. The wood irked cooked mushrooms were delicious taking on the flavor of the fruitwood. Service was top notice. Highly recommended

Overall, the food was pretty good but I think the service was pretty bad. We got the 180 day dry aged steak - that was delicious. The beef short rib was also a good pick. For some reason we got the olives app which I don’t recommend, I’m not even sure who would order that but someone at our table did and it was horrible. Also, I don’t recommend the pork and prawns because they give you pretty much none of each. There were two prawn carcasses, but really only one prawn worth meat and it was extremely tender… Like fall apart and your mouth tender meat. Which is really weird for prawn meat. I’m not sure that I like that. It’s unnatural. I like a naturally cooked prawn. I’m cool with that 😎. The lemon bar dessert was not very good. Everyone at our table tried it, and no one liked it. We didn’t finish it. Like I said service was super slow.

Had one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in Denver so far, mainly thanks to Tyvonn’s service! He was so attentive but didn’t hover, was super accommodating to the happy hour timing but also getting the dishes out hot and made great menu recs. The mushroom toast and sauce for the octopus was to die for and the 50/50 burger and fries were so delicious. Also happy hour cocktails were so well made! Highly recommend this place for happy hour and it’s in a cool part of town with a great seating area and also bar area. Again Tyvonn and the other servers just MADE the experience.

Great spot for a nice brunch, just don't expect your run of the mill menu. It's smaller than most of the traditional brunch menus found in the city, it might not seem as fun but the selections are very unique and well tailored. The fresh fruit they serve with some of the meals are incredible! A whole slice of cantaloupe

We had a fantastic meal here on Wednesday night and highly recommend checking it out. Denny (our server) was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional and even comp’d a dessert to welcome our son and his girlfriend to Denver. The dip/spread board and the hamachi crisp were a great way to start the meal. Both very good. I had the trout which was delicious. It came with asparagus and a lovely sauce. The trout was very tender. My husband and my son’s girlfriend both enjoyed the gnocchi. It was creamy and not doughy. My son had the stuffed chicken which was really really good. We had a few sides (orders too much) and then dessert. Denny encouraged us to try the corn crème brûlée and I will be going back for it. It was odd initially but very quickly my mouth said yum and wanted more. The other dessert was the lemon bar which was delicious as well. This is a good restaurant especially since it’s in a hotel. Nice ambience. Not snooty. Good wine list. We stayed at the Limelight and the hotel is great and perfectly located downtown near the light rail and train stations.

Food is unique, flavorful and high-quality. Ate here for brunch. Mimosas for the table was perfect for 3 people (nice champagne provided). The shakshuka, chilaquiles, Dutch baby pancake, and side of potatoes were so incredible, we ordered 2 orders of each dish (again) via room service the following morning.

While staying at the Limelight Hotel Denver, we had the pleasure of dining at Citizen Rail. Citizen Rail specializes in American fare with a focus on wood-fire cooking & craft cocktails. We arrived and were seated at a table in the bar. The aesthetic of the restaurant was contemporary & cool with a go-to social hub feel. Our server Jason was attentive & knowledgeable on the menu. For Cocktails I had the Luz de Luna made with mezcal, Ancho Reyes, Montenegro amaro, heirloom pineapple, & bonfire bitters - a spicy, boozy, sultry creation. For Starters we had the Lobster Roll and the Little Gem Salad. The Lobster Roll was made with lobster mushroom pavé, sesame tuile, ginger + citrus, and pickled sea beans. The piece of lobster was buttery and delicately sweet. The lobster mushroom pavé was baked into a nice, layered gratin with a slightly chewy texture & a nutty, woody flavor. The Little Gem Salad was made with palisade peach, plum, marcona almond, hemp seed, goat cheese, and meyer lemon dressing. A summer salad made special with Colorado fruits - the slices of palisade peaches were juicy & sweet. For Mains we had the Roasted Half Chicken and the Smoked Short Rib. The Roasted Half Chicken was made with jimmy nardello peppers, roasted corn cob, and fresh corn purée. The half chicken was oven-roasted to perfection with delicious, golden skin and juicy, tender meat. The jimmy nardello peppers were buttery in texture and full flavored with a hint of smokiness from their charred skins. The chicken was my favorite dish of the night. The Smoked Short Rib was made with fairytale eggplant, candied peanuts, and black garlic miso demi. The short rib was incredibly flavorful in rich beefy taste refined by smoke. The meat was so tender it fell apart under our forks. This was Ross’ favorite dish of the night. For dessert we had the White Chocolate + Corn Crème Brûlée made with fresh Colorado corn, white chocolate, & a sticky caramel seeded popcorn bar served atop. The crème brûlée had a thick caramelized sugar crust that cracked into large pieces & gave way to thick, luxurious custard. The custard was a lovely pale yellow. The popcorn bar was a delicious combination of salty & sweet and its chewy crunch complemented the velvety crème brûlée. A must order.

Had an absolutely fantastic meal here. Had the stuffed organic chicken which was absolutely phenomenal. Haven't had anything like it before, and it was honestly one of the best dishes I've ever had. Combine this with incredibly kind staff and it's a huge win.

Delicious options for dinner and breakfast, everything was so good! Our service was great, though if you need a quick dinner this isn’t your spot. The ambiance is great for a downtown restaurant with lots of natural lighting and the big grills in the back with fires blazing. It smelled amazing when we came in. For dinner, my husband and I each had the mussels and rosemary fries, and he had the brisket burger. The sauce on the mussels was so creamy and delicious, they were crisp and moist! Highly recommend. They are the feature dinner on Wednesday so if you’re there midweek you can get a deal. For breakfast, my husband had the Dutch baby pancake and breakfast potatoes (get those as a side, even if it’s to share due to lack of space, you’ll want more). I had the egg white omelet with a side of sausage- very fresh and tasty. We would come back and stay at the hotel and eat at Citizen Rail again in Denver :)

Came by for happy hour. The beer and cocktails were pretty cheap, and they had some neat food options. Food was a bit pricier than some other happy hours, but stuff I wouldn't try elsewhere or at full price. We ordered the Apple + Pancheta and the 50/50 Burger. The Burger was especially good, and the waitress was very nice by splitting the burger in half on two plates for us to share, without us even requesting it. Also liked the layout of the restaurant, as you can see the chefs cook and walk by the meat freezer when going to the bathroom.

Note that my five star review is for HH. I can't speak for the dinner menu. But, let me tell you about an affordable, energetic, optimal location, cool vibe place downtown. Get there before 5 and you can beat the rush, and the bar seating is a really great atmosphere. For HH, they have $5 IPA's, $8 combos with a shot, and other cocktail specials. The $11 charcuterie board was so good that my wife and I were equalizing rations. It is located in a hotel, so there is plenty of good people watching. Open kitchen, and very spacious if you want to do a sit down dinner. Note that my five star review is for HH. I can't speak for the dinner menu. And, a special shout out to Josh, who was the bartender and gave us perfect service. Efficient, great personality, but not too intrusive. I highly recommend and see you there...for happy hour.I highly recommend and see you there...for happy hour.
