Went to Sam's 3 on Denver Broncos game day. It was as slammed as it gets. I still only waited around 10 minutes since the open seating turned over fast. The regular seating waits over 2 hours. The Cheese Enchiladas and pint of Red Chili was excellent and still had Chili left over to eat at my hotel room. It was an amazing experience given the crowded conditions, which is because it is an amazing restaurant everyone wants to go to when downtown. It is very popular for good reason. It has amazing food for reasonable prices. Waitress for my section has worked here forever and was fast and efficient, making everyone's experience here wonderful.
The food is amazing here! Huge portions and unique options are on the menu. I like that they serve alcohol and breakfast! Very interesting place. Our server was very friendly and helpful, she helped us choose our food as this was our first time here. I highly recommend the pork green chili!
My friends and I Showed up at noon on a Monday, the wait was only 15 minutes. The service was so quick and the Hostess and Server were rather nice. The server made us feel like we were back in New York with her quick wit. The plates were huge and more than enough. I ordered the Kitchen Sink Stacker with the green chillies it was so good I highly recommend, I also got a side order of mini pancakes which were also very good. It seemed you can’t go wrong with the other items on the menu because my friends had no complaints. I’ve never seen sausage Pattie’s that large served in a diner before. Overall we were glad we stopped by and would definitely stop again next time we are in town.
Sam’s #3 was right next to our hotel and the first place recommended to us for breakfast when we checked in. Featured on Triple-D, it’s menu is about 15 pages long! You can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner any time of the day. It was hooping on a Thursday morning when we went and seemed busy every other time we walked by. I had biscuits and gravy and a side of sausage. The biscuits were good, the gravy was a little thin on the sausage in it, but it was tasty. My wife had an open face Turkey and gravy sandwich that looked great - she ate it all!! We might go again before we leave Denver. Definitely worth a try.
The menu is HUGE, but I don’t view that as a bad thing. They’ve got something for you regardless of what you’re craving.
I had the fried cheese curds and a chicken fajita burrito, which came topped with their Green Chili sauce. Both were really tasty.
The staff were very friendly and helpful! We didn’t have to wait too long either considering it was in the middle of the dinner rush.
Definitely worth a try if you’re traveling from out of town or just haven’t been before.
I had an amazing experience at Sam's No. 3 in downtown Denver. Their Benedict plate for breakfast was not only delicious but also incredibly generous in portion size. The perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise sauce, and choice of toppings made for a delightful morning meal. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Sam's No. 3 for a hearty and satisfying breakfast in Denver!
So I was visiting Denver for the first time and read the reviews for this place and they didn't lie. My family ate here and everyone loved it, even my picky daughter. I had the Veggie Stacker and it was fantastic. I was astonished by the amount of food that was provided. The Home Fried Potatoes were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The veggie green chili was amazing. It was the perfect topping. My waitress was very friendly and made our visit very pleasant. If I come to Denver again, I will be sure to stop here again.
Great restaurant with very friendly staff. Huge menu, and no one was disappointed. Very large portions. One block from the theater district. It's also reasonably priced.
Shout-out to Mikey, he's our favorite person ever!!! We were visiting Denver for the first time, and blown away not just how much weed we smelled in the streets, but also by how friendly and cool everyone was. Sam's No. 3 is the epitome of a welcoming atmosphere.
Great service (again, Mikey, you're the best!), and AMAZING food. Of course, we've only had one thing on the freakishly huge menu, which was the Colorado Buffalo Burrito, but it was the best breakfast burrito we've ever had. And it was so big, we had to split it. And neither my wife nor I could finish our half! It's enough for 2 hungry people, and I'm glad it was because that's not a cheap burrito! So the prices also seem reasonable.
Thanks for the memory and delicious food, Sam's No. 3! We'll be sure to eat there every trip to Denver.
Super friendly staff, still gives the vibes of a small diner, super quick and very attentive. Come hungry, the portions are the real deal. First time I’ve been back since moving to Arizona and it still is amazing. Will make a point to come back every time I visit.
