I got the pulled pork plate and the fried pickles. The pickles are French fry profile which I know can be controversial. The pulled pork was very tasty. Unfortunately I can’t remember the bar tenders name but he was very friendly and provided excellent service.
So a friend and I went golfing at The Elkridge gold course. And decided afterwards that we wamted to head to Deadwood for some lunch. We tried looking for something good and pleasant. Someone had recommended The Maverick and I can't express how great that place was. The food was fenominal, the service was amazing, and the whole ora was chill to have some good dinner. If you ever get the chance go! It's in the Gold Dust canino upstairs.
We rolled into town pretty late and weren't sure where to grab a bite. After checking into the hotel, we were happy to find Maverick's just up the sidewalk. They were incredibly busy but seated us at the bar and the bartender came right over. The chislic appetizer was incredible. Ten ounces of tender deep fried steak lightly dusted in a garlic salt blend. I'm not a huge carnivore, but this dish is definitely crave-worthy.
Recommended and definitely rewarding. Tyler’s service was great, the ribeye cooked perfectly, medium rare on the rare side; the fries were delicious, as was the Caesar salad. Cadillac margarita was excellent. Great steakhouse!
I’ll eat here again. Five stars are well earned.
The food was really good. The waitstaff was not very friendly. Also, they say families are welcome to dine, but seem like you are a put off and not very tolerable of being there.
During the Sturgis Rally 2021, on one visit, I ate at the Bar. I ordered a grilled chicken queso sandwich, and it was very good. On my second visit I ordered the Spring Chicken Salad, and it was very good as well. My Buddy had the pork ribs, steamed broccoli, and garlic mashed potatoes. He ate all of it with no complaints. The service was good.
Ordered a steak with baked potato and salad and a jalapeño burger with fries. Food was good and the service was kind of slow. Before we ate, we registered at the players club, received free play and got cash back on our food.
Had a really great meal here after the Deadwood shootout show. My Salmon was very good, perfectly cooked and seasoned... my wife got the Greek salad with steak, which was also perfectly cooked. We had a large party, they seated us all promptly and our server handled it all efficiently and was very friendly and personable. In addition, as I'm from the Boston area, I can tell you that in comparison to similar establishments in New England, this was dirt cheap... nearly 20-30% lower than what I would expect to pay (in post COVID world).
My only complaint, is that with such a large party I would have wanted them to take a reservation but none of the other restaurants I called would take them either.
