Everytime I come to Pacifica/HMB I stop here to bring a bunch of food home to Stockton. Their roast duck is really good. And pretty much everything I've tried there is good.

Old school type of Cantonese eatery.... it offers a wide variety of food to choose from, good place to fill your stomach. It’s a casual spot for a quick meal, decent food but don’t expect to receive world class service or any unreal expectations.

The only thing I tried was pig kidney and liver porridge. However, it’s the best porridge I’ve ever had in years.

Chinese porridge is inexpensive ($6 for small bowl) and makes a nice light lunch on a cold day (which is most days in Daly City). Some of the porridge flavors are bland; I wish they used more herbs or vegetables to add more flavor. You can get a Chinese donut ($3 in plenty for 2 people), but that's a one-dimensional flavor.
