I've been there several times. I all ways get hot delicious food and courteous, friendly service. I have told and invited friends and family. Next time I'm in town I plan to be there. La Costena is one of my favorites!
Awesome food. The only thing they have a bench out back that is loose and my daughter hit herself bad and they just said sorry they didn’t offer anything or moved the broken bench. Also a table near us walked out without paying. Overall very good food! (The people who walked are the 3 African American people on the left side of this picture)
THE BEST, Got Diablo with all seasonings combined 10/10 would come back, best service

Omg it was delicious. Fish tacos dirty rice n coleslaw and shrimp & catfish basket with ff and hush puppies. Nice atmosphere good music. Only issue was the waiter rushing us to place an order. My BFF always orders an appetizer first btw it was spicy lemon pepper chicken wings and ff they were to die for.. Once we start to order I told him what I wanted he says is that all I'm like no he is also ordering his dinner. Idk what the deal was but it was still awesome we will definitely come again. Just don't want that waiter again..
After reading good reviews, we decided to try it out. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. Service was a bit slow, but perhaps since we visited close to lunch hour. It's a very clean restaurant with cute decor too. The theme fits perfect. The prices are decent and the portions are big. I ordered the gumbo and really enjoyed it. We also ordered the shrimp basket. The batter is nice and crispy and flavorful too. Will try again. Looking forward to trying the boils.
this place actually has some of the best quality seafood I've had in Dallas. you definitely get what you pay for. Nor overcooked rubbery shells with no meat inside.
This place is great! The seafood is amazing. One thing that’s pretty confusing though is it’s a Mexican/Cajun fusion. So you can get costal Mexican items like ceviche and aguachilles but also New Orleans style gumbo and Cajun boils. They however have more of a Mexican atmosphere (music, drinks, hot sauce options). I would appreciate more of the Louisiana flair - Louisiana, franks and/or crystal hot sauce in the mix. There’s even a painting with Crystal hot sauce on the wall and New Orleans vibes but the energy was giving more of a Mariscos/Mexican style set up. The food was still good. My fam is from Louisiana so I’m biased. I got a boil. Was good. I would go again and take the spice level up a notch
The Service was excellent! If you were a regular at one point give it another shot. Management is there and has things under control! Food has always been amazing, just service not so much. Thank you Liz for making such GREAT changes makes dinner more enjoyable!
We tried it for the first time, and the food was delicious. Being seafood the price does range and some prices are up there, but it is well worth it.
One of my favorite local crab shack. Food is always good. Sometimes they are out of asparagus and dirty rice otherwise great location
