Hands down the best Banh Mi in town! They do not skimp on portion size or freshness of ingredients! Each sandwich is handmade to order. My personal favorite is the Vietnamese Pork Sausage. The sausage is a family recipe that has a very unique texture and flavor. When paired with the thinly sliced cucumber, spicy jalepeno, crisp daikon & carrots on the most perfect french baguette (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside) it's a flavor explosion! The Sandwich Hag does not cut any corners. Everything is fresh and delicious! These banh mi are not the typical banh mi sandwiches found around town. The Sandwich Hag has mananged to stay authentic to true Vietnamese flavor and tradition and create sandwiches that are in a league of their own!

I have had every sandwich the Sandwich Hag makes and loved it. I'm a stickler for flavor profile, texture, tenderness (of meat), ease of consumption, and quantity (tiny servings are boring)....and these folks got it right. You won't leave hungry. Most recently, Rey created a meatball sandwich that is to die for! It has definitely moved up to my FAV, but don't get it twisted, the lemon grass pork and ginger chicken are welcomed by my pallet any day of the week. Who would have ever thought to start their day with a Vietnamese coffee (Kapoww!!), fresh hummus (delightful), and a phenomenal pork meatball (big in size and and flavor)....THIS GUY!! I am counting the days till' they open up shop in the Cedars! Thanks for an awesome experience! -Sam

The place was so adorable and cozy with a very sweet lady as the cashier. She double checks that you have everything you need! It all makes you feel a sort of nostalgia, like you’re right at home. It has pride potted plants and a beautiful mural. Just a warning that the coffee is extremely strong with a milkshake texture and will leave you on a high and shaking if you’re not careful. My friend got the pork ban mi which was delicious and I got their chocolate bread.

I have been here a couple of times for the Vietnamese coffee and donuts but first time having one of the banh mi sandwiches. Loved it! Got the grilled pork, the flavors were amazing and the bread they use is perfect for the sandwich. If it wasn't 100 degrees outside (no inside seating in case you have not been there yet) it would have been ideal. But they do a good job of putting up shade where they can and have fans moving to air to help out. Great food and the people who work there are always so nice.

Wow on point place- they sell out so you know that food is fresh. I really enjoyed the coffee with coconut cream and let me tell you the banh mi was so mouth watering. I’ve lived in houston for 4 years and there’s a huge Vietnamese community and food scene there but I have to say this is the best Vietnamese sandwich I’ve had in America ! I even saved half of it to bring back to my mom. I got a chance to talk to the chef she was so down to earth and sweet and personable. Made my day! This is such a neat place will have to come back soon. Highly recommend !! . Super cute place and the vibe was laidback and homeyyy.

Say man.. Get the Banh MI Xiu Mai.. That thing is a flavor bomb. Garlic Tomato sauce, jalapeños, cilantro, with these flavorful pork meatballs. The bread is flakey and soft like a Philly Hogie. These guys have the formula. Everything tasted super fresh. Only complaint is it's $17 bucks a sandwich but everything is expensive now.

1st time to visit. Super friendly employees and cute decor. All seating is outdoors so the hot Texas heat made it tough to get comfortable while eating our lunch. Pricing is such that our meal for 4 with appetizers and drinks quickly ran the tab to over $100 for lunch. The Nem Sausage Nuggets ($12.75) were tasty and good for sharing. The Fried Eggrolls ($9.75) were standard and a tad pricey. Recommend skipping these. The Bahn Mi sandwiches were delicious. Pay attention to the add-ons as a fried egg ($2.75) and fish sauce ($2.50) will run that bill up fast. The Coco Nam Sua Da ($6.25) was average though it was described and marketed beautifully. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and were glad to check this spot out. It's always a good thing to support passionate small business owners and their dreams!

Friendly and warm staff with a hospitable atmosphere for morning chats and book reading, and don't forget to check out the wall art. My only gripe is paying $12-14 for banh mi, even thought it was well made and fresh.

The food and service were both incredible! We loved both chimlanh and sandwich hag. You order all your stuff from one place, and from a very friendly and cool person who runs the till and makes the drinks! The vibe was very casual and would a great hang for friends to catch up or for you to write your novel while you eat. It was a very comfortable spot to enjoy some chill time. Sandwich Hag: We were blown away by the chef special- Cà Ri Gà. It was so flavorful and fresh. I don’t usually like coconut but even I was in love. The bánh mì I had was the chicken ginger and it was amazing as well. I did dip it in the soup because they were both so good but it’s also just fab on it’s own. Chimlanh: We tried the hibiscus limeade with jellies as well as the limeade spritz and the Hanoichata latte. The hibiscus is sweet and really fun. The jellies are a cool addition and definitely worth trying. The limeade is less sweet and very refreshing. Highly recommend coming here!

I’ve been to chimlanh twice now, and I knew I needed to leave a review. The staff here is so unbelievably kind and welcoming, and their customer service skills are incredible. On top of that their donuts and drinks are amazing and the presentation is beautiful. Anytime I have someone come visit in Dallas I will be taking them here.

Came here 30 mins before close and sadly the sweet cashier lady was very apologitic that they ran out of banh mi sandwiches. they said that they had just come back from Vietnam, so everyone was excited to see them again and they were busier . Got the Asian style pork nuggets instead. They were so yummy! Eat a little pork piece, with picked radish, sauce and fresh mint leaves. Flavors brought be back straight to Vietnam. Very glad I got this dish. Wish there was more radishes and mint leaves to accompany the dish. Highly recommended! Run here!

Food was absolutely delicious! I had the HanoiChata, chocolate cake and tofu ginger sandwich, all three were so good! I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. I ordered the food as takeout, but I couldn’t wait to eat it and ended up eating half of the sandwich before I got on the road. Everyone is super friendly!
