This place is great. Located in the center of an authentic Asian centric shopping complex. Hard for the average visitor to tell one restaurant choice from another in the complex, but I chose La Me because it was recommended as a top choice in Dallas for cheap eats. It definitely delivers on that.
I had a vermicelli bowl with shrimp patty and grilled beef. The beef flavor was great. Large portion for only $7.50. Friendly and attentive service.
We were the only non Asians in the place. The menu can be over whelming to the average diner, but the server helped us with our selections.
I'd definitely return.
This place is packed at lunchtime on Sunday: but the staff are very accommodating and friendly.
I ordered my favorite go-to dish at most Vietnamese restaurants: #10 Pho Dac Biet. The Pho with everything in it basically.
The flavor was amazing, broth was fantastic, meats and meat parts were thinly sliced, just overall amazing.
My beverage of choice was also delicious: the salted lemonade (not the sofa version): sweet, salty and lemon-tangy all at the same time. Nice.
Be use they were busy the food came out in weird order: I got the pho 10-minutes after ordering, then my lemonade, then the stoning rolls. Oh well.
My all time favorite vietnamese restaurant in the area. They make viet style eggrolls just right. Wouldn't recommend any soup they specialize in banh mi and rice dishes / vermicelli
Very good and authentic food. A favorite for me
Great Food and Great Service. La Me is quickly becoming one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Dallas. I went there for the first time a few weeks ago and the food and service were both spectacular. I have been back at least once a week and I have enjoyed everything the staff has recomended.
La Me is worth the drive from Downtown Dallas to Lake Highlands.
Great tasting meals. The vermicelli and egg rolls w fish sauce was surprisingly really good! Their fish sauce is not too strong, not overpowering the dish. The restaurant is very outdated but hopefully w a little spurring up it will attract more volume since their food was good.
Food was delicious!! I've been wanting to go inside and try their food for a long time. I've previously tried their egg rolls which are unique in the sense that they use rice paper for the wrapper and fry it, giving it a different type of texture and taste than your typical egg roll you'd find at places like bistro B. Their egg rolls are delicious, perfectly crispy, and have great filling. I could definitely eat like 10 in a row. And they make them free to order so they're piping hot when they come to you, even better!!!
I ordered: combination pho (pho Dac Biet), shaken beef rice (com bo buc lac), com tam 7 mon (rice with 7 different items/meat), bun Dac Biet 5 Mon (vermicelli with 5 meats), and their Vietnamese coffee.
I would say their Vietnamese coffee was ok, but I've had better.
The pho was delicious and the broth was so flavorful. I would say it's comparable to pho bac! They gave plenty of meat and the quantity was large for such a great price!
The rice dishes were good and again, had plenty of juicy meat. The Vermicelli was CRAZY how much they gave!!! Honestly this one was totally worth it. It was so much my family couldn't finish it and even brought the rest to go home. There were so many noodles and lots of meat, such a great deal. It came with an egg roll which was mouth salivating.
I 100% am coming back and I've already recommended them to many people. If you try one thing from them, it's gotta be their egg rolls!
Legit Vietnamese restaurant. The rice dishes are very good: com thit noung, bo luc lac. The noodle dishes are excellent as well: mi quang and bun rieu. Must get the iced coffee too!
I was invited to Lunch by my Daughter-in-law, whom is Vietnamese, to try Vietnamese Food for the First time and let me just say,"This place was delicious!" Their Spring Rolls with their oh so delicious Peanut Sauce was so good, also their egg rolls!
I had pork over white rice with a Fried Egg, also Slices of Tomato and Cucumber and shredded carrots. I cleared my plate it was all so good. Our Server was very attentive. The place was nice.
I most definitely will go back.
Their food is so delicious and consistent! One of our favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Dallas. Their Mì Quảng is to die for!
I haven’t been here in so long, yet it still upheld its flavor and the prices are still decent! The portion sizes are large and the service was quick. Great flavor and I love that I get a fried egg with my rice.
My first impression is how generous they are as the bowls were large and filled to the brim. They also offered a complimentary appetizer, nem chua, while they prepared our food. The nem chua itself was dry, but the gesture was appreciated. The Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò was good except that the meat was cold. The Canh Bún and Bún Mắm, were too sweet for my taste. Although the food wasn't the best, the good service makes this review go from a 3/5 to a 4/5.
A decent Viet restaurant. Good foods, decent price, good portion. Service is fast. Will be back!
Always good. Wait time is long but worth the wait. My parents come here all the time and drive from Fort Worth. They wanted to take me here to enjoy the food. I did indeed. Very good. Will come back when I stop by to visit. Thai tea is also delicious. Thank you!
I love this place because they open so early. We often come here for breakfast (i know it's heavy breakfast haha).
The vietnamese coffee is the best. you should try it. we like the noodles with soup on the side.
The staff so friendly and the foods come so fast.
