If home cooking food is what you crave, then this is the spot. Our first time here, plenty of free parking. Sit where you like and staff was friendly and attentive. Wife had the ham and cheese omelet with extra crispy hash browns. Great breakfast.
I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes, green beans and side salad. The side salad was enough to share. The roast beef is a lot of meat, flavorful and tender. Definitely worth the price for amount of food you get. Homemade rolls are awesome. Definitely recommend this restaurant and they have homemade pies.
This place was like taking a step into the past. It's one of those few gems that people don't know about.
It was my first time here and it was amazing to say the least. The breakfast was so good. I had the #2 Daughters Special (Pancakes, Eggs, Bacon) it was delicous! The pancakes were soft and fluffy and the syrup was warm and flowed like water. The eggs were pretty good and the bacon was crisp. I would highly reccomend getting this when you come here.
The other person that was with me got the 3 Egg omelet with bacon and cheese. The only thing about this is that they unfortunately did not have fruit BUT It was still good with or without the fruit.
Let's talk about price and how much this costed. The total was $25.88 which is amazing price for all of that food and to be full after. Love this place and definitely will come back the next time I'm in Dallas!
Little slow getting noticed when I walked in even though they weren't busy. Overall, the food was good. Just be sure to go hungry. Big portions.
Absolutely amazing diner place in Dallas; the service, the server and food was fantastic just like homemade. Nothing fancy but good old diner with great vibes; good humor and fantastic coffee. We tried fried chicken and fried steak; both were good but my fav was chicken; you can request one each by the way!!! With peaches n turnip on side:). My son ordered waffle with strawberries and sausages on side n he loved it all. Our server was a sweet lady, very warm and welcoming and she got us bread n rose bread both were fresh from oven. We come to Dallas for game and I am glad I found this cute nook to hang out and lay low n relax till next game. Will definitely come again. Do pay visit if you can and tell me how was your experience.
Omg, The food here is so good. Their chicken fried steak is amazing it’s just good ole Homestyle southern cooking.
Now the restaurant itself leaves something to be desired it’s a 60’s 70’s building but who cares when the food is this good. Also their homemade rolls, oh my God so good!

Solid diner food! Food and service were good. This would be my go diner if I lived in the area! I had the beef tips with rice and gravy and it was really tasty.
Food was good, nice portions, could have been a little warmer, the Mac and cheese seemed little runny. MEAT LOAF was good, Roast beef was tender. Service was little tuff, had to wait on someone who spoke English, prices were very reasonable on the meals but seemed little pricey for dessert. I'll return.
What a perfect breakfast. Eggs were made exactly as requested. The 'Saltie' waitress fits perfectly with the dinner experience. We are here three days in a row. Very reasonable.
Been going here for years. Still Great food! Best home cooked meals around. Service is great as well. It is an old establishment and look like the placed my parents would take me when I was a kid. Hope they never modernize the seating area. It all works together. I have been to other restaurants that claim to have "home cooked meals" and they are not. The new modern dining area says it all. Try this place. You will not be disappointed.
Great service. Good portions. I got the fried Pork chops but they had a funny taste so just ate the rest of my food. Everything else was good
