Great lunch today at Woodland's. An upbeat atmosphere, but not so noisy that you can't have a conversation. Drinks nicely done. Fish tacos and fish sandwich both fresh and tasty. Not sure what is in the sauce - it's the crack of aioli!
Well done, Woodland's!
Fresh food, great staff, good price.. Today we reviewed the Woodlands American grill in Dallas Tx. we where greated with a warm welcome right out of the gates. Service was prompt and before long we had our appetizers out. The mushroom soup was terrific with rich earthy notes of the mushrooms with the rich creaminess of the soup. The fried artichokes where nice, and I really enjoyed the caper sauce. It slightly resembled a martini olive flavor. I sampled the Apple chutney pork chop, which was very flavorful, as well as the horseradish encrusted salmon. The salmon was plated with what I can only conclude as a sea weed emulsion. it added a simple ocean like twist to the dish. Absolutely delicious, can't wait to see their next menu. Please inform me when it comes out!
My wife and I really enjoyed our time here. Had never heard of it, but wanted a place that took a reservation on Valentine's night, and this one did. It was a great choice. We both really liked our Bourbon Apple Ciders. The Spinach Artichoke Dip was excellent as our appetizer. My wife liked her crab cake a lot. My trout was good, but it was doused in too much sauce. Felt a little heavy.
Service was quite attentive and friendly. With two drinks, and appetizer, two entrees, and one side (had the mac and cheese, which was super), our bill was $90 plus tip.
Not a bad deal for a fun night out in a really nice place. Laid-back atmosphere. We would certainly return here.
Excellent! Very nice Sunday brunch menu. The service was outstanding.
Brunch at Woodlands Grill was out of this world delicious!!! I looked forward to Saturday and Sunday so I could go back for brunch again!!! Wow!!!
Lunch today Westcott Salad- awesome. 2 thumbs up for taste, presentation and service. Going back next time I'm in town.
Just ate here during happy hour and it was 100% perfect! Kudos to the kitchen and the staff. Ahi tuna nachos and calamari were perfection. Cuatro leeches cake was heavenly. And the espresso was as good as any I've ever had. Decor and ambiance excellent as well. Would recommend it to anyone, and would love to come back when visiting in Dallas again.
Love the Woodlands Grill. I eat there at least one a week. The salads are the best in Dallas. Great burgers also! The wait staff is great. Very accomodating- they really try to make sure the guests are happy! Love it!
I won't lie, I was a little worried to come here due to the reviews regarding service, but I can't even begin to tell you how glad I am that I did! Not only was the service impressive, but the food was beyond expectation in a tremendous way. We came for brunch and ordered the breakfast sandwich and skillet. We had to stop ourselves from eating ourselves silly, it was that good! Then for dessert we had the Sno-ball... Wow. Also, it didn't hurt that they had bottomless champagne, mimosas, or Bloody Mary drinks for only $5. Come here. I highly recommend the brunch.
Really good fish sandwich and way above the norm sweet potato fries!
This was a remarkable unassuming restaurant. I was touched by its simplicity and how unpretentious it was. The most amazing aspect of this place was the service. Our waitress Amber was simply amazing. A people person and an experienced server. If I’d don’t know better we were favorite dining guests of all time. She made great suggestions and was amazing. The smoked trout salad was awesome. The mahogany chicken a delight. And the cocktails were great. I only needed one! 😉 the dessert was great also.
Great place to get a nice meal without a lot of fuss. Tuesdays are half price wine, so definitely a good night to go. The sliders were tasty and Brussels sprouts cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly and attentive.
First time here. Wednesdays are half price wine by the way 😉 We ordered the hummus as an appetizer - creamy, savory, full of flavor. I ordered the ahi tuna salad (shown in picture). We also ordered the salmon salad and the ahi tower - both gorgeous and all delicious! My apologies for not getting pictures. I believe it's the chef who brings the entrees out which was a nice surprise! I can't wait to return.
This place is a find! The food and service were excellent. Everybody at our table had different items, but each of us was very happy with our food. The presentation is outstanding, and our waiter was excellent. He kept bringing soft drink refills without being asked, and was available when needed without being a distraction. They had a separate menu for gluten free items, with many choices available besides the usual salads. The ambiance is comfortable and casual, and we could actually carry on a conversation without needing to yell across the table to be heard. We will definitely be going back!
We haven't been here in a while and Woodlands has gotten even better. The brunch was great. Breakfast Bowl no longer overwhelmed by potatoes, bacon perfect - crispy and not greasy, perfect scrambled eggs with chives or bits of green onion, nice little sausages and a nice small fruit/berry bowl to finish. Of course a complimentary chocolate treat at the end of the meal, plus good service.
Great restaurant, great service. I have fish and chips and I loved it.
Vincent my waiter was superb, very attentive. I sat on the bistro and enjoyed delightful food alone. I had spinach and artichoke dip with pita chips and aioli for the appetizer. Then fish and sea salt sweet potato with a creamy horseradish.
I've eaten here a few times and the food is always amazing. Recently I ordered their Caprese Chicken Sandwich and sweet potato fries. Another time I ordered their Westcott Steak Salad. I would highly recommend both dishes. The service is really great too. There was a mistake made on my last pick up order but they were quick to resolve it and gave me a free drink while I waited. Parking is limited and quickly fills up. I parked down in the grocery store parking lot and walked up to the restaurant last time I went.
Update: I took my parents here on Tuesday and we all loved it! My husband and I shared the filet mignon. It was good because it is an 8 oz. and 4 oz. was plenty for me. It was served with mashed potatoes, mushrooms and broccolini. It was also served with a kind of soy sauce that was a little too salty for me. We ordered some of their macaroni and cheese on the side as well and that was delicious. I probably would have liked a different kind of pasta better than penne. We asked for their bread service and the bread was delicious and warm. The service was phenomenal. The host made sure we were comfortable. She first sat us at a booth but it was a little snug with a car seat for our baby on the bench. She then moved us to a table that was tucked away and there was lots of space for us and the baby. She also brought us a sling. Our waiter provided great service and he was very friendly and accommodating.
Veronica was an excellent server as she was attentive but not hovering. The food was full of flavor and ingredients tasted organic. It was perfect!
The food and service were outstanding! Michael provided us great suggestions for substitutions for our meals which all came out expeditiously and of excellent quality. I'd absolutely come back in the future!
Honestly, the atmosphere was more relaxed than I'd expected for the service and food quality. 💙
