Best brunch ever and definitely will get your money's worth. Get 1 entree you'll get unlimited mimosas for $1 a piece until 3pm on Sunday.. service was great that even the host/MOD will ask what you want to drink. You are always well takin care of. If there's a party, a conga line will go around and everyone in the conga line will be blessed with a shot of tequila. They invite everyone to join. If you want to have a sunday funday come to this place and you won't be disappointed. Will be booking my 28th birthday weekend here.
Best TexMex brunch spot in Dallas!! Food is always good! I recommend the chicken nachos, brisket tacos, either of their soups... Service is even better! They have great specials at brunch and throughout the week.
Showed up and took patio seating. Friday's happy hour allllll night long!! $3.50! Chips and salsa.... AMAZING. White dip queso was spectacular. Not to mention the chicken enchiladas! Nothing bad to say about this restaurant. It's even CHEAP!!! Omg so happy. GET YALLS BOOTIES TO MARACAS.
Pretty good enviromemt with great outdoor covered seating and delicious salsa! The margaritas are tasty and thats just the house one! Top class tacos, a true treat!
Live music, friendly staff, light up drinks from the bar, Congo lines, chips and salsa - what's not to love? The brisket enchiladas were delish but still nothing like the ones from our favorite Mexican cuisine restaurant- Frankie's.
Great Salsa. I have been coming to Dallas on business for several months now and always make sure that I hit Maracas for high-quality margaritas - the way God intended them to be made, without sour mix. What keeps me coming back is their killer habanero salsa. Served hot - physically and chemically - it is sure to keep you sweating. I highly reccommend this unassuming restaurant in the funky Deep Ellum area
Writing a glowing review for the folks at Maracas is the least I can do for the hard work that went into making my wife's Birthday special!
The food was great but the service and entertainment was spectacular! We had 30 people and the staff worked quickly and was very accommodating for such a large group.
We brought in our own cake and dropped it off three hours before our reservation so we could enjoy the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. When it was time for dessert, they brought it out with candles lit, then took it back to the kitchen to cut and serve. Perfect service!
The live music was also incredible! They involved us the entire evening because they knew our party was there. My wife got to dance on stage and lead the Conga line (complete with Tequila shot)!
Overall, it was an awesome experience especially given how busy things were with the Arts Festival.
Muchas Gracias!
Nice joint, with forward thought Mexican grub. Friendly staff, live music on Saturday nights- Chilo. Good spot.
Good Food and Service. I stopped in "Maracas" (the new name) for a quick dinner at the bar. Service was fast, courteous, competent, and he made a good drink to boot.
Dinner was the brisket tacos (authentic Mexican taco style, NOT TexMex) with a double side of black refried beans and no rice. It was served promptly with all the food at a proper temp or hotter. There was also a green hot cilantro sauce, as well as fresh lime slices on the side. The tacos were very good, but maybe could have had a bit more spice. Maybe not? They were good either way. The beans were very good, but just slightly under-seasoned (a shake of salt fixed that).
Service was impeccable, as were the accommodations.
Worth a repeat.
Something a bit different than you'd expect. Monica was making her trendy interpretation of Mexican food before it became fashionable. Years later, the food is still top notch. Marry that with a cool surroundings, top-notch mood bands in the evenings, and their sangria swirl, and you're bound to impress your companion.
Food was great...loved the chips and salsa.
Half off Tuesdays. Monica's has half off their entire menu on Tuesdays. Great time to try something you would not normally eat. Staff is friendly and they have some traditional items on the menu along with the "Gringo Mexican" standards.
The food is very flavorful and enjoyable. I went on a Sunday for brunch. Can’t beat $1 mimosas! Do know, you only get three for $1 each, and you must get at least three. I ordered one and our waitress brought all three out at once. I really enjoyed their chips and salsa. Expect to spend at least $10-15 per entree. Service is decent. My only complaint is the parking situation. The lot across the street was $10 for all day parking. The spaces are very tiny and the lot is tight.
This has been our go to place in Deep Ellum for almost 20 years. Sadly, it never has a big crowd, but it does make it easy to get in and out. Parking is not the easiest.
The Tex Mex food is always tasty. Usually very good service!
Everything was good and delicious. The manager and waiter made sure we was refilled and had fresh chips until our food came out. We also got fresh chips and salsa for the house but only one thing, the salsa smelled weird and the beans smelled and tasted funny the very next morning (our leftovers)
Fell in love during my first visit. A Saturday afternoon brunch. $1 mimosas. No crowd. Wonderful staff. Great atmosphere. Delicious food. I ordered the Maracas breakfast taco (2 tacos, black beans, potatoes) meal and a single pancake. Everything was amazing. Potatoes cooked and seasoned perfectly. Black beans are a hit, especially if you eat with tortilla chips. Tacos were great. Pancake big and fluffy. I can't wait to go back.
Food was good, chips were warm and the salsa was nice, which was good because it took surprisingly long for us to get our food considering it was as sparsely populated as it was in the early afternoon on a weekday. I didn't get breakfast, but if you like breakfast-y Mexican, with eggs and so forth, the menu is definitely worth having a look at.
I came for a Sunday brunch with my girlfriends because they have $1 mimosas. They came out with two per person, and then offered to bring us the bottles for $10. They split it between us all, and it was very reasonably priced. Their menu is VERY gluten friendly and delicious. and their service is amazing!
Went for lunch as a 13 person team, they handled the entire experience with grace. The drinks were there within minutes of arrival. After the order, we had unlimited chips and dip to snack on as we wait. This is now standard servicing, I love it. I order the massive Texas Burrito 🌯 - which was delicious! Bathrooms were clean, always a plus. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and stay here and will for sure be back for the enchiladas! Grab your friends, some drinks and have some good times! 👍
FANTASTIC service! Authentic food, TIMELY service, friendly staff, unique menu that still keeps classics at the heart of it all. STRONG MARGARITAS! Jessy is the bomb!
Service is great! Everyone is prompt on drinks and refills. Would definitely come back! Food was great.
A great Mexican spot in the heart of Deep Ellum on main Street. Staff is very friendly and the Chips and Salsa are to die for. Will definitely be coming back.
