Good cake from a vending machine for the price. However, my chocolate slice was smaller that it should be. It's smaller than the other flavors in the machine.
The banana pudding was the bomb! Delicious! I don't like a lot of bananas in my pudding, just cookies! The cookies and strawberry cake were also delicious!
It's always a treat to visit the Cake Bar and today, as always, they did not disappoint. We had family in from Georgia and so we stopped by after dinner and got several cakes to share! We then went to the beautiful sitting area behind the Cake Bar. My grandmother enjoyed the Pina Coloda so much she went and got a slice to take on the plane with her!
Recently visited Cake Bar while exploring the Trinity Groves area. I’ve always heard this black owned spot had really good to die for moist cakes so of course I had to see for myself! If didn’t disappoint! Pictured is the buttered pecan slice and y’all, it’s was soo moist and not too sweet. The banana pudding wasn’t my favorite but I am picky when it comes to my banana pudding so no biggie. It was only 2-3 banana pieces so if you don’t like many bananas in your banana pudding I’d suggest this as an option. I am so looking forward to visiting again and trying the strawberry cake slice! I’ve also heard the red velvet was heavenly 🤤
I love love this store front. They have a coconut cake to die for. After a good meal at the restaurants close by we always stop in for 50 bucks worth of dessert 🤗
The Cake Bar is definitely a place where I fulfill my guilty pleasures for sweetness. The strawberry cake is everything. The carrot cake is another favorite (not pictured because I devoured it).
I love how the cakes I normally love are not the ones I like here. I love how cakes I normally do not like, definitely impress here and will keep you coming back for more. When ya go, get a sample of everything. The recipes are old school church style from when I was a little girl. Not the basic monotonous recipes since. Just close your eyes and remember your grandmother’s homemade cake. And then you’ll remember a happiness that once was!

Omg everything in here is so delicious and fresh lol. Every time I come I plan on buying 1 item but leave with 3 to 4 items. I can’t tell my family I’m here because they would ask for something too.
I tried the key lime cake for the first time and it was delicious! Super moist and the icing tastes just like key lime pie filling. It’s the best of both worlds… cake and pie together. I think it’s my new favorite.
