I ate dinner here whilst on a business trip to Dallas. Service from Enrique was good, the ambience was nice, the chips and salsa were great, and the menu was all very tempting. We had the Guacamole, which was very good. Then for entree I had the Pork Shoulder and it was nice, but I was hungry, and honestly I could have done with the portion size being a bit bigger. My colleague had the Pork Chop and he was very happy with his meal. The Balcherita's were nice but $16 each.
Came for a birthday dinner for a friend and this location is very nice! Ambiance and the service was great! We all had different dishes but the stand out to me was the pozole Verde. I thought it was delicious and flavorful as other reviewers stated. Next time I'll try the rojo. Price wasn't too bad for dinner either.
GLUTEN FREE GOODNESS - AMAZINGNESS
I ♥️ Pozole… and they have Authentic green chili 🌶️💚 pozole soup! I was in my own heaven! The Brisket tacos 🌮 were amazing as well. Hearty portions.
Have been here 3 times and it's been a pleasant experience each time. I love the decor, find it relaxing. So far, I have only tried the soups, the house salad and a few drinks. I always start with basic items, because if they can't make a good soup, I have found it doesn't bode well for the more complex dishes.
The Pozoles Verde & Rojo are excellent! The Rojo, especially, has a lovely complex broth! I highly recommend them! The 3rd soup, Sopa de Lima, is good, but not as tasty as the other 2. A very solid choice though. The house salad is delicious, far better than the average iceberg lettuce & tomato salads that usually comprise most house salads. The salsa is not the traditional red sauce, it is very good!
I tried the Long Island Iced Tea, their top shelf Rita and their swirl. The Long Island was meh. The other 2 were good.
Service & seating were prompt, even on a busy day. Service was fantastic on the 1st two visits, with everyone I saw asking if I needed anything. The third visit had my waitress taking my order & not showing up until I was done with my soup & almost done with my salad - all she said was "are you done?" as she tried to take my salad plate....while I was still eating it. I told her no and she left. The next time she showed up, she actually asked if I needed anything, probably because I started pointing to the empty salsa dish. She was extremely pleasant each time, but her service was disappointing. Again it was busy, but she passed by me several times. Do not let this deter you from coming here though! So many dishes to try that I don't see at other restaurants!
I live in Arlington, but would happily drive to eat here!
I’m a repeat customer. Food is tasty in a warm and inviting environment. Staff is always attentive. Lately, with the weather turning colder, I’m a big fan of the green posole. It’s warms from the inside out. A bowl of comfort. Now, the drinks are always delicious. An extensive selection of tequilas and the mandatory frozen offering.
Meso Maya Comida y Copas is a culinary haven, and their chocolate cake is a delightful conclusion to any meal. The cake is a decadent masterpiece, rich in flavor and perfectly indulgent. The inviting atmosphere and attentive service at Meso Maya enhance the overall dining experience. Whether you're a chocolate lover or simply looking for a sweet treat, Meso Maya is the perfect destination. I can't wait to return for more of their incredible chocolate cake and the overall exceptional dining experience they provide!
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I've visited Meso Maya prior to Covid and at that time it was amazing. Today not so much, however still good. The menu is smaller and the service level was just ok. The food I had was darn good. Hopefully one day, they will be back to great status. On a final note, if you go, make sure you grab the complimentary candy as you leave. It is so good:)
Incredible food and experience. From the salsa to the mixed drinks, the flavors were intense, delicious and new. The Pozole Verde soup was the most flavorful and wonderful version I've tried anywhere. I would also suggest trying the Chef's Specialities. The Herradura Salmon was fantastic. Highly recommended stop!
We had a great brunch today, the food was delicious and Roque Ramírez service is more than 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great food, excellent service. Liked the pollo tacos.
Their salsa is one of the best thing i like.
Perfect for date or business lunch/dinner.
