Satchmo’s Jazz Cafe is the place to be for great music and food! The shrimp and grits was phenomenal; as well as the blackened chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens ( no be can match my Moms greens, these are a close match). The customer service is on point and they are very professional! Did I say this was my first visit and my surprise birthday dinner! We will return! Thank you for the great service and First impressions!
I played with Mr. Ves Marable. This place is very classy and nice. The owner and staff were nice. Hospitality was great. It is a great true jazz spot.
Amazing! The building itself if gorgeous. The music was great and the blackened grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and sauteed corn were out of this world!
We really enjoyed this place. It was our first time and definitely won't be our last. Food was good, atmosphere was so welcoming, and the music was amazing.
Today, 12.23.2018, was my first experience eating at Satchmo's in D'Iberville. There is an 18 step brick staircase to the entrance so be ready to climb or there is access via a man-lift on the east side of the building. (see pictures) The area around the building is tended to quite well, and the atmosphere inside is simple and tastefully done. I ordered a bloody mary, the catfish and grits plate with bacon on the side. I was very pleased with my choice of drink and food. The grits were not the 'cheap style' of grits and the catfish was cooked to absolute perfection. I will make a point to come and try and evening of jazz at this beautiful establishment. We had a great experience here, Owners were very friendly and accomodating! The service and food were very good. Hope they are successful for many years! Great music too.
Had a wonderful brunch with my fiance here. Some of the best food I ever had! Lovely, intimate atmosphere, no live music unfortunately but the playlist kept the mood nice and relaxed. Our waitress Becca is a great conversationalist and kept us well looked after. Definitely worth a visit, the sweet potato pie is fantastic
Beautiful ambiance, amazing band and phenomenal food. I had the salmon and my husband had the lamb chops and we both were very satisfied. Friendly staff. I literally just had best night here. The band is just amazing!! We did not want the night to end.
This is awesome place to have brunch on Sunday's. The food is great. It's a nice atmosphere! Becca has been our waitress twice and she is truly awesome! Fast and friendly service!
