American breakfast/lunch restaurant in Cypress, on Lincoln and Moody, right across the IHOP. Clearly, way better than the latter... Fairly packed at around noon, especially on weekends (come earlier or later, it's open until 1:30 PM). The food is quite good. Maybe not spectacular, but still better than average. I had the California Chicken Sandwich, which comes with bacon, avocado slices, and iceberg lettuce. Everything was fresh and tasty. I would have preferred a plumper chicken breast (the kind "Paul's" serves on Cerritos and Knotts) instead of more smashed meat, but that's down to personal preference. My wife had the breakfast burrito, and it was quite good.
Great food at great price! All the waitresses were really welcoming. They made sure we were doing alright a few times which was nice. It's a little bit cramped indoors when there's a full house but not too bad. Definitely coming back with my friends next time :)
Photos: Rancho Omelette and Chili & Cheese Omelette, both with home fries
This is a great little place. The staff usvery attentive and the food is excellent. I last had a vegetarian omelette because of temporary dietary restrictions, and it was great. But I have had the bacon and eggs and biscuits and gravy. It is all good. Update, still love this place. Great service. This time I had the Hobo Omelette with fruit and biscuits and gravy.
Best eggs benedict I've ever had . Great food and better service. If you are in the area try this place. I will definitely be going back. This is my new favorite spot!
Good food & decent prices! 😁
Our first time trying this place so we ordered breakfast to go for the whole family. We were impressed when I picked up the order as it was all ready to go and the staff immediately greeted us upon arriving. Thanked us for our business. Then we got the food home and was pleasantly surprised as everything was cooked as ordered all utensils and condiments were placed in the bags and packed very nicely. We couldn’t wait to eat and then when we did everything was really, really delicious. Portions were good as well. We are very satisfied and happy and will definitely be back. Thanks Country Cafe, you all Rock!! Keep up the great work!
Good food , steak was ok a bit bland
But the potatoes were amazing
Very nice quaint place. Service was awesome. I had the chicken fried steak. It was very tender and cooked well, crispy on the outside, not overcooked or dried on the inside.
My home hash browns were perfect, not greasy.
The gravy was however was lacking flavor. No seasoning in it what so ever. There was sauage in it, but you can tell it wasn't cooked with the gravy. It was like it was thrown in the gravy as a after thought. Other than that, the food was great. I also tried the Portuguese sauasge, that had a explosion of flavor in my mouth. Very tasty.
I would definitely recommend this place. Just be aware that the gravy is a let down. But I feel overall that everything else made up for it.
Great spot for breakfast! Love seeing people bring there dogs with them! Awesome! Got me the veggie omelette with serrano chillies. Amazing! Pancakes are fluffy but delicious! 😁🙏🏽✊🏽✌🏽
Good food, good service, very nice staff. Due to Covid they had seats outside which was nice, there was social distancing between tables, and the server wore her mask. It felt nice to be at a restaurant and they made it better by giving so much space between tables and wearing masks. The food itself was delicious.
Great little breakfast/brunch place. The Baja omelette is really good if you like chorizo. The home fries are very good when done extra crispy. Add hollandaise to the corned beef hash, yummy combo.
