Pete's Chicken-n-more

This location has a confusing drive through and is...sort of connected to a gas station. Luckily I guessed correctly and was able to order quickly. I arrived shortly before closing time. I noticed a sign on the side of the building that said it was not fast food, it was made to order. Noted. However, the staff was so thoughtful that when they felt I had been waiting long (roughly 10 minutes) I was brought out biscuits for the wait. An unexpected and kind gesture. While I was waiting, I noticed someone gently carrying out crickets that are seasonly a nuisance and placing them outside. I thought that was sweet. He was also the one to bring out my order and he wanted me to make sure my order was correct before I left. It seems they value caring and thoughtful people when hiring here. I ordered the Nashville Chicken sandwich and fried mushrooms. KFC used to have Nashville Chicken strips and since they stopped serving them, I haven't found any other location with a similar item until now. Considering how good the sandwich is, I hope it lasts here. Of course, I did have an incredibly fresh sandwich, but the bread was toasty and the chicken crispy and nothing sort of perfectly cooked. I was highly impressed. I got the fried mushrooms because it was suggested by a local . They were good and an interestingly different side. Now that I've been to both locations, there are three more things I must try on their menu before I bring over my picky eater family so I can give them an accurate menu referral.

Great tasting chicken. Food is always good here. Friendly staff! The brownies are amazing! Big chunks of chocolate. Yummy! I’ve never had a bad experience here. Come visit Fernando and his staff for lunch or dinner

Picked up the evening meal for the grandkids and myself. They voted for chicken and Pete's was nearby. They weren't too busy and there was only one person in front of me. I placed my order and by the time I had poured my drinks they were calling my name for pickup. The staff was quick , efficient and friendly. Chicken strips for the three of us. Each box contained 3 strips, fries, Pete's famous golden gravy and a roll. The chicken strips were good, not the best I've ever had but still good. The fries were limp and greasy not really appetizing. The roll was hot, fresh and tasty. The golden gravy was a bit on the salty side but it was a good dipping sauce for the strips. I also added Cole slaw to my order which was okay. Overall the food was good in spite of the greasy limp fries, the service was good and I was in and out in about ten minutes. Not the best food but the convenience made up for it. I will return to Pete's when I want chicken quick and easy.

Had the steak fingers absolutely perfect, took home some chicken fingers, and they were absolutely great.

Pete's chicken is a local favorite and has been in operation for decades. The food is great and they are one of only a handful of places that still sell gizzards and livers. I got the chicken stips this time and they were great paired with their unique and delicious yellow gravy.
